There has been an immense contribution of the Kapoor family to Indian cinema. Known to be the first family of Bollywood, The Kapoors have ruled it all from the admirable Prithviraj to the latest heart throb of the nation, Ranbir Kapoor. They are now the forgotten Kapoor’s of Bollywood.

This song from the movie Mughal-E-Azam has been a rage among people in love. It is consider as a love anthem in Bollywood. Prithviraj Kapoor was featured as the emperor Ashoka in the film and had done total justice to his role. He is still remembered for his brilliant and magnificent acting skills and was the first to start the Kapoor league in Bollywood cinema.

Raj Kapoor, known as the Show-Man of Bollywood, was an actor, producer and director. His performances in films like Awara, Sangam, Mera Naam Joker and many more are still fresh in the minds of our Indian audience.

Shashi Kapoor was a child actor, and played the younger version of his elder brother in the film Awara. He was known to be the best looking Kapoor in the family.  Shashi was a versatile actor as well as a producer. His performance in Dewaar is ever green in Bollywood. They are many chart buster movies produced under his production company. He was married to English actress Jnnifer Kendal and they acted in a number of films together.

Shammi Kapoor had an image of a romantic hero. He had created a niche for himself with his new unique dance style and was the only ‘dancing hero’ at that time. The energetic actor became one of the leading Bollywood stars in the 1950′s and 1960′s. Shammi Kapoor, who suffered from chronic renal failure, passed away on 14th August 2011.
