Looks like Shahrukh Khan is on the verge of losing another friend in his life. All his old buddies from the industry from the time he was a struggler faded away from his life gradually as he climbed the ladder of stardom. But if you think about it, it’s not always Shahrukh to be blamed.
Remember Farah Khan and Shahrukh Khan’s strong bond ? Well, it’s all ashes and dust since Shahrukh didn’t ‘approve’ of her marriage with Sirish Kunder.
Now, it’s Juhi Chawla who’s probably the next one in line. Recently, she said that they are no longer very close.
This plight originates from the entertainment company, Red Chillies, which they own jointly. The CEO of the company had been Juhi Chawla’s brother, Bobby Chawla since the start of the company. But in 2010, he had a stroke and has been in coma ever since.
It is to be noted that despite all this, Bobby continued to remain the CEO for three years, a credit that should be given to Shahrukh.
Recently, Red Chillies made an announcement that Bobby Chawla will be replaced by Venky Mysore, the CEO of the cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders, which is also jointly owned by Shahrukh and Juhi. If looked at it sensibly, this is a good business decision since there needs to be someone at the helm to think about the company’s growth. But seemingly, Juhi is not too happy about the decision.
In interviews, she said that she wasn’t informed about this by Shahrukh, instead it was Venky Mysore who had called her to tell her this news. Juhi was reportedly very close to her brother and him being in coma is still a disturbing thought for her.
Maybe Shahrukh Khan is right with the business decision but perhaps it could have been done in a more considerate way.
