The world awaited her birth. The media started working overtime to churn out every possible update. What’s commendable is that, none of this hype and hoopla affected Ash. The beauty queen handled every bit of publicity with patience and grace, something every to-be-mom should learn.
Come what may, Aaradhya is No.1 priority
Post the birth of Beti B, Aishwarya Rai was flooded with “dream-come-true” like movie offers. But the actress rejected all that came her way, stating her daughter was too young to be left home alone. It is also learnt that mommy Ash sets aside two hours, from 4.30 and 6.30 pm, every day exclusively for her baby. During this time, strictly no appointments are allowed.
Fat is fab
Pregnancy weight gain is inevitable! Ash’s post pregnancy weight issues raised quite a few eyebrows. Unflattering and nasty comments were written about her. However, none of this affected the actress. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, she stated, “Weight gain can happen at any point in time and it is something that you are dealing with anyway and it is ok. It is not the outside that defines who you are.” Ash chose comfort and made it fashionable, making her post-pregnancy weight gain a graceful part of her life.
Motherhood did not overpower her career
Career never took a back seat for Aishwarya Rai, post childbirth. Unlike a few yesteryear actresses, Ash neither gave up on Bollywood nor did she take a hiatus from acting. Even while looking after her infant, Ash did a few ads. She also fulfilled her contractual obligations by attending the Cannes film festival in 2012. Now that her baby is more than a year old, the actress is looking at a few movie scripts and has also promised to return to sliver screen very soon.
Losing flab with time
Immediately after the birth of Aaradhya, Ash did not go on a weight loss spree. She was truly not affected by what the media wrote and took her own time to get back in shape in a healthy manner. Needless to say, she looks her same stunning self now and the confidence in her has only grown. In an interview, Ash revealed her fitness mantra saying, she not only hits the gym, but is also into power yoga now. She set for herself realistic targets and is religiously following them.
