It totally agree with u AamirBhai “popular film awards like Filmfare, IIFA, etc are not credible and genuine because they always give away awards based on the popularity but not on talent. He trusts and believes only National Film Awards which he feels are the Indian Oscars” in fact i don’t even watch it on TV.
still i’m yet to understand on what base Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai film got Filmfare Award for Best Film, Filmfare Award for Best Actor, Filmfare Award for Best Director, Zee Cine Award for Best Film. to be honest looks like Rakesh Roshan filled these awards jury members’s pocket with good amount. film was a big shit, however jury made good money

Filmfare, IIFA are the most corrupted award function in the world. I agree and fully respect Aamir’s decision for boycotting those fake shows.

Thats true. Nearly all awards are based on popularity rather than talent. Of course, every now and then talented actors and actresses do receive their due credit, but its always the same faces who receive the same awards over and over again. What’s even more funny is their speeches about how they never believed in themselves and never thought that they were that talented, and they can’t believe they are received the award.
And I think its great what Akshay did, it was bold and honest.
