Director Sajid Khan brings back colorful, good old eighties with his latest film ‘Himmatwala’, starring the Sultan of Bollywood Ajay Devgn & Tamannaah. The film is the remake of 1983 blockbuster of the same name, that featured Jumping Jack Jeetendra and the very ravishing Sridevi.
In the 2013 Himmatwala, Ravi essayed by Ajay Devgn, is a one man army against the villagers, in his battle for self respect. He is robbed of everything except his unshakable courage. Ravi fights for justice. The film is a perfect combination of emotion, action, comedy and romance. The filmmakers state that the characters too have resemblances to that of the original Himmatwala. The dashing Ajay Devgn is said to have fought with a real tiger in the latest version of the film. The mesmerizing music is by Sajid-Wajid and is sure to take you’re breath away.
Himmatwala’ is presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Pooja Entertainment, the film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Vashu Bhagnani.
Sajid says that “the film is a rewrite and not a remake”. He insists that the characters and scenes of his film are completely different. “The essence of the original Himmatwala is there in my version, but my treatment is completely different. The three most important aspects of the film, which are the opening act, the centre act and the finale, are completely different,” He said.
