Yesterday on 22nd Februrary, Sajid Khan launched an item song from his upcoming movie “Himmatwala” at a Mumbai Club. The song  features Sonakshi Sinha in the lead.

The song is titled “Thank God its friday”. “It is a disco song which Sonakshi is doing in Himmatwala, for which Sajid decided we should launch it in a popular party place,” a source explained.

“He immediately called up Sonakshi to ask if she could drop by for a live performance and she readily agreed on condition that Sajid would be the DJ in the house.” The video for the song sees Sonakshi Sinha at a disco dressed in a range of early ’80s costumes including a gold sequined dress and a black PVC outfit.This will be Sonakshi’s second item number after she shaked a leg with Prabhdeva in the movie “Oh my God!”.
The music for this particular song, is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, has been composed by Sachin-Jigar.The remake of the 1983 film of the same name stars Ajay Devgn opposite Tamannaah in the lead roles which had Jeetendra and Sridevi in the original. “Himmatwala” releases March 29.
