According to sources, the movie had a dull start in the morning but gradually picked up pace as the day ended. The evening and night shows played to full audiences.
The film had 30-40% occupancy which slowly turned into house-full crowds as the word on the film got out. Incidentally this is the highest ever opening of any Randeep Hooda film.
The movie is expected to make around ₹8-9 crores on day 2 and 3 and if the momentum goes on, the movie could collect ₹24 crores in the first weekend.
Murder 3 has been produced by Fox Star Studios’ and Vishesh Films. The movie was released in 1350 screens in India and the positive word of mouth that is going around could help Murder 3 emerge as a winner!
Meanwhile, the other release of the weekend, Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story has opened to a dull response at theaters The film saw only 10 percent seat occupancy on the first day and will have to show a huge turnaround on Saturday and Sunday to be able to make some mark.
