Irrfan Khan, Bollywood’s most versatile actor says he doesn’t want to be associated with anything. According to him he is an actor and nothing else.
In a recent interview Irrfan Khan said “I don’t apply any tags to myself. I don’t like it. I challenge tags. I don’t want to get tied to any tag. I am an actor. I just want people to see my films. Whether I am an entertainer, performer, actor or star I don’t care as long as audience loves my work,” He believes this fact so much that he went ahead and got the ‘Khan’ from his name removed. His views on the topic was that he didn’t want t be associated with anything that would not recognize him as an actor. He feels acting is as an art form, above human divisions and there is no need for anyone to stereotype actors on basis of their community or class.
Starting his career by acting in several television series like Chanakya, Bharat Ek Khoj, Sara Jahan Hamara and Banegi Apni Baat, Irrfan did several other tv series before appearing on big screen. His latest film Paan Singh Tomar in which essays the role of real-life Rajput runner Paan Singh Tomar has received extremely favourable reviews by critics. Irrfan has been highly praised.
