‘Ek Thi Daayan’, a supernatural thriller which Emraan Hashmi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi. The makers of the film launched the first look launch of Ek Thi Daayan in a very spooky way. Kalki Koechlin, Huma Qureshi and Konkona Sen Sharma turned up at the event looking like daayans. The movie’s main lead Emraan Hashmi, too, was in the character.

Emraan Hashmi plays a magician in the film and so as the actor was seen performing magic on the stage with the three beautiful daayans. In fact, just before the press meet, a short magical drama was even preformed, with the star cast in their characters.

Kalki Koechlin had revealed earlier that ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ is about a witch and a magician.

The movie is said to be inspired by a short story penned down by Mukul Sharma (Konkona’s dad), and speaks of a mix of gore, suspense and jump-scares. The mystery is that there are three possible ‘daayans’ and people will have to guess which of the three is the daayan.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film is releasing on April 18.

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi is presently shooting for ‘Ghanchakkar’ with Vidya Balan.
