Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his next release Special 26. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special 26 apparently is one of the closest movies to Akshay’s heart. Reportedly, the actor agreed to the film when he was offered half the price he usually takes, and also agreed to sing a song for the film. The reason behind this is because Akshay sand an energetic romantic number for the first time in his career and the song has become very close to the Khiladi’s heart.

But turning into a singer, that too for a proper song, was no cakewalk for our adventurous hero. Akshay practiced hard for about 15 days with music composer Kareem for about 6 hours without a break. The results were brilliant as the song has turned out brilliantly.

Director Neeraj Pandey said: “Akshay took an instant liking to the song. We decided to shoot a video with him and wanted him to lend his voice to the track. He isn’t a trained singer but he was so well-versed that by the time we recorded the song, it was very easy.”

More surprisingly, Akshay loved the song so much that he decided to gift it to his wife Twinkle Khanna on their 12th anniversary. Akshay Kumar said in an interview: “I would like to dedicate this song as a Valentine Day’s gift to all lovers.”
