Vidya Balan chose to have a private mehendi ceremony at her Khar residence here Wednesday night. The actress is all set to wed Siddharth Roy Kapur on 14 December, this year. The mehendi ceremony saw Vidya’s family members, and her favourit, veteran actress Rekha.

Vidya looked lovely a Sabyasachi yellow sari, draped in a typical Bengali style. She teamed her look with floral ornaments. The mehendi on her hands were also very simple, with round blobs of henna just on her palms and not the full hand.

The actress has decided to go very simple and secretive with her wedding not willing to reveal any details. The venue of the sangeet, which happened on Tuesday, was also closely guarded secret. Right from the beginning, Vidya and her fiancee, Siddharth Roy Kapur, have been tight lipped about their relationship.

After the function, the couple posed for the media together.

Buzz has it that the nuptials will be conducted both in Punjabi and south Indian styles. After the wedding, a not so grand reception will reportedly be held in Chennai on Saturday.
