Makers of Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola have come out with their latest track, Oye Boy Charlie. A very desi number with Hinglish lyrics. The song is sung by Rekha Bhardwaj, Shankar Mahadevan and Mohit Chauhan.

The video sees Anushka Sharma aka Bijlee, flirting with Arya Babbar, as daddy Pankaj Kapoor keeps butting in. Besides them, Imran Khan too is seen dancing crazily along with some African ladies in a party hall.

The video also sees Gulabo – the pink buffalo in a veranda.

Meanwhile, Anushka who plays the character of Bijlee in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola initially thought that being a comedy, playing Bijlee would come easy to her. However, that wasn’t the case. The actress was so stressed that she even shed tears on the sets of the film.

Says an insider, “Anushka wanted to give the film her best, and tried to get into the skin of the character. However, once she started shooting, she realised that the character is not as simple to play and has several layers to it. Though it’s a comedy film, Bijlee’s character is one of the the most complex characters and required a lot of effort from Anushka,” reveals the insider.

This led her to feel that she may not be able to do justice to the role and the film.

“This upset her so much that she almost broke down crying, as she felt she would not be able to pull it off,” shares the insider.
