After watching Farhan Akhtar as the fierce Indian athlete in the first trailer of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, people have rubbed their eyes in disbelief. It’s hard to digest the fact that Frahan Akhtar has gone under a complete transformation for the movie. However, the transformation wasn’t easy.

About his role, Farhan Akhtar said: “It was definitely a challenge, but it was a challenge that was a very exciting one to accept.”

Farhan didn’t just physically transform himself, but also had to learn Punjabi for his role.

Farhan said at the Mercedes Benz Star Drive grand finale: “In bits and pieces. I mainly focused on dialogues and certain improvisations within scenes. But of course I had to, because there is a very distinct Punjabi flavor to the whole film.”

Looking at the trailer, the actor is already getting praised from his accolades in the film industry for his transformation in the film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Lara Dutta, for one was bowled over by the trailer.

“So…saw ‘Talaash’ (which I really liked), but what stayed with me long after is the accompanying trailer of BMB (‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’)! @FarOutAkhtar, you are hot,” tweeted Lara.
