Deepika Padukone’s performance in Cocktail is still a hot topic of discussion in the film industry. Cocktail was one of Deepika’s best films.

She received rave reviews not only from the audiences and critics but her father Prakash Padukone too, was very impressed. The senior Padukone was so impressed by his beti’s performance in Cocktail that he decided to gift her one of his trophies.

Deepika Padukone was the ‘it’ factor in Cocktail which got many going to theatres. Her chemistry with both Saif and Diana Penty was the catch of the film. And of course, she has the body to die for.

Says an insider close to the actor, “He found her performance in Cocktail commendable. As a proud father, he wanted to gift her something as a token of appreciation.”

It is learnt that Padukone Sr gifted her one of his oldest trophies and sent it to her Mumbai address.

“Deepika was over the moon when she received the parcel. Her father gifting her a trophy was unexpected and it means a lot to her,” adds the insider.

Meanwhile, Deepika will next be seen in Race 2 opposite Saif Ali Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor in Ye Jawani Hai Deewani. She is also busy shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express with Shahrukh Khan.
