Bollywood’s Best Actress of the year 2012

Vidya Balan – Kahaani

Vidya’s performances in Kahaani was simply excellent. Balan replaced the memory of her last performance (The Dirty Picture) with a sparkling new one. She was effortless in her acting.

Bipasha Basu – Raaz 3

Bipasha as a fading actress, is outstanding in the film. She is the real hero and the show stealer. Will Raaz 3, Bips changes ones perception of just adding hottness factor to a film. There’s some real and quality acting that Bipasha show.

Sridevi – English Vinglish

Five minutes into the film, and she’s already found her way into your heart as Shashi, Sridevi gives a terrific performance as the uncomplaining Maharashtrian housewife. Sridevi hits all the right notes. Her act in English Vinglish was lauded by critics as well.

Priyanka Chopra – Barfi

Though the film entirely belonged to Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka’s efforts surely did not go unnoticed. Leaving behind the props of glamour and costumes, PeeCee puts in a sincere effort to make you forget that you’re watching Priyanka Chopra.

Kareena Kapoor – Heroine

Heroine could easily be written off but for Bollywood’s hottie Kareena’s performance. She looked very convincing as bi-polar, erratic, insecure and vulnerable fading star. She looks beautiful, glamorous and makes Mahi her own.

Deepika Padukone – Cocktail

Deepika essayed the role of an extrovert and hip Veronica very naturally and effortlessly. Deepika was simply remarkable in the film. She was the star of Cocktail. She not only looked ravishing, but also convincing as a neglected wild child of rich parents.

  1. Priyanka in Barfi! Was there ever any doubt? Deepika was good in Cocktail also. Kareena had her 3rd flop film for the year and over-acted in Heroine – even though she played herself (a bi-polar bitch).

  2. Priyanka all the way!!! Deepika also deserves credit for the job she did in Cocktail. Bipasha did an okay job but she is washed up. She finally started focusing on her “acting” after John left her.

  3. are u all blind….havent u noticed kareena kk in heroine…….she has delivered much more in a normal role….she doesnt need to act as an autistic child for proving herself……and in talaash she was d heart steller….widout her d movie might have been an average……….kareena is definately the best choice…..guys pls once see heroine n talaash u willl b blown away.

  4. 100% Priyanka Chopra. She killed it as Jhilmil in Barfi. She deserves this. To portray a character that is mentally disabled and winning over the love of the audience. It was like I wanted her to stay autistic and didn’t wish she was a “normal” human. Her expressions, body language…everything was perfect.

  5. What about Katrina Kaif for Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ek Tha Tiger? Anyone? She’s already won an award for her role as Best Actress- Action, then why is she not in this list?

    1. Katrina Kaif is a joke. Girl cannot do anything except dance to songs. Idek why she’s still surviving in this industry with greater contemporaries like Vidya, Priyanka, Anuskha etc…
