Wow, difficult to choose with so many firm favourites but I think the award should rightly be given on merit + challenging roles rather than on mass appeal or fan base. All deserve credits for their varying roles but for me the strong contenders have to be Ranbir, Hrithik and Nawazuddin who all played different, strong roles (despite Aamir being my ultimate favourite).
