The awesome response that Aamir Khan’s forthcoming film ‘Talaash’ is receiving, has put the theater owners on top of the world. The advance booking for the film had started on November 25 and it looks very healthy, all thanks to the various rumors surrounding the flick.
Said Girish Wankhede, national marketing head, Cinemax India Ltd., in a statement: “Owing to strong buzz and humungous inquiries from patrons, we opened the advance booking for ‘Talaash’ on Sunday pan India at all our Cinemax multiplexes,”
“The response was quite amazing as we were able to book around 700 tickets on the very first day. Lot of corporate bookings and bulk bookings are also happening. We are very upbeat and foresee another big blockbuster,” he added
“We had to open the advance booking of ‘Talaash’ one day earlier, on Sunday, as people were coming and asking for tickets. Actually in reality, we started getting many block bookings almost 15 days ago. Our conventional booking has also been very good,” Shashank Raizada, managing director of capital-based Delite Cinema, said.
‘Talaash’ will release in around 2500 screens in India and more than 500 screens overseas, on 30 November. With such a good opening, the film will obviously be a hit and is most likely to earn good revenues in foreign markets, on the first day itself.
Now, what makes Talaash a hit, even before it’s release?
Well, news is that, the film’s satellite rights have been sold at a price close to Rs 40 crore, making the producers rich even before the release of the film by Rs 40 crore. Media reports state that Talaash has been made on a budget of Rs 40 crore, thus making it a break-even venture even before its release.
Not to forget Aamir Khan’s track record at the box office. This is one big factor that will definitely work for the film. Though limited promotions, yet they have garnered curiosity and interest among the viewers. All these factors when put together, sees Aamir collecting awards after awards next year.
Celebden wishes the Talaash team, good luck!
