‘ABCD: Anybody Can Dance’, India’s first 3D dance film trailer out

The trailer of choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza’s ABCD: Anybody Can Dance, India’s first 3D dance film is finally out. The star cast include performers from television reality show “Dance India Dance”. Salman Yusuf Khan, Dharmesh Yelande, Prince Gupta, Mayuresh Wadkar and Vrushali Chavan play central roles. Also, Prabhu Deva, Kay Kay Menon and Lauren Gottlieb (winner of the popular international television talent show So You Think You Can Dance) have pivotal roles to play.

The film is said to hit theaters on February 8, 2013.

The film is about a dancer from Chennai who beats the odds to make it big. A film that proves yet again, impossible is nothing if you can dream big. Prabhu Deva, an amazing dancer, whose world falls apart after he is expelled from a dance show. The film shows how he starts all over again, with a cluttered and untidy bunch of local street dancers. In the end, this ragtag lot take part in the same competition from which Deva was ousted.

Kay Kay Menon’s role is the film is that of a strict and headstrong dance instructor. he trains elite group of dancers. While Menon’s mantra of success is ‘one must dance to ‘impress’’, Prabhu Deva focuses on expression and not impression.

The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
