Jab Tak hai Jaan star cast including Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma were in Jalandhar, on Wednesday, to promote their film, which is set to hit theaters this Diwali. Jalandhar also happens to be late Yash Chopra’s home town. The legend filmmaker’s wish of promoting his last film from his hometown, first, came true on Wednesday.
The leading cast of Jab Tak Hai Jaan interacted with media and fans at Hotel Cabana, in the afternoon.
Addressing the media persons, Shahrukh Khan said: “Whenever you get time on Diwali, you come (to watch the film) with that feeling that it’s a celebrating film, it’s an event film, it’s an entertaining film, it’s a complete happiness film. That would be the best tribute to Yash Chopra and his cinema”.
Katrina Kaif expressed her happiness for having got a chance to work with Yash Chopra and Shahrukh Khan, calling the entire experience ‘great’.
“For me it was extremely exciting to do a film not only with Shahrukh but also with Mr. Yash Chopra. The two are legend of romance, the kings of romance, as people call them,” Katrina said.
As a mark of respect, the trio also visited Yash Chopra’s college, Doaba College to promote the film. Interacting with the students, Shahrukh Khan said: “Yashji spent his youth days here and studied in this college. I am lucky to promote this film here and I request you all to go and watch the film.”
Jab Tak Hai Jaan will release on November 13.
