Tanha Tanha Yahan Pe Jeena is an excellent number sung by Asha Bhonsle. Rangeela marked the debut of acclaimed music director A. R. Rahman in Hindi. he won a Filmfare Award in the Best Music Director category.
Ada… A Way of Life
A 2010 musical film, ‘Meherbaan’ is a not so famous number but one of A. R. Rahman’s bests. The track is soft, smooth and highly romantic. Rahman’s voice enhanced by the lyrics brings in complete serenity.
Lagaan
A. R. Rahman was at his prodigious best with O Mitwa. The music maestro won a national award for his composition in the film. Lagaan became the biggest audio hit of the year 2001.
Taal
Music whizkid A R Rahman did an awesome work with Taal, particularly the track ‘Ishq bina’. Anuradha Sriram, Sonu Nigam, Sujatha and Rahman sings this beautifully penned number. Rahman uses the flute and tabla very effectively.
Jodha Akbar
Javed Ali makes his singing debut with this number. The song is endowed with poetic lyrics that create a unique appeal. The song set on an Arabic tempo, carries Rahman’s subtle magic.
