If all goes well, Bollywood’s real-life couple Neetu and Rishi Kapoor are all set to feature in director Abhinav Kashyap’s next film, Besharam, which also stars the couple’s son Ranbir Kapoor.
As Abhinav narrated the script to Rishi Kapoor, the veteran instantly gave a nod. Says a source, “he liked the story and well as his part.” The director always wanted to cast Papa Kapoor and beta Kapoor together, and most likely, his dream of getting the father-son onscreen together, will come true with Beshram.
Mommy Neetu however, hasn’t heard the script yet. This is soon to happen, as a script narration sitting with Neetu Singh Kapoor is being fixed for this week.
“Abhinav thought of casting Neetuji in the movie later, after he was sure that the role was substantial enough to offer her,” adds the source.
Sharda Pallavi, an Indo-Australian actress, is confirmed as the female lead opposite Ranbir. Besharam will see Ranbir play a ‘tapori’ car thief.
The film was to roll end 2012, with Viacom 18 being the producers. However, due to unknown issues, Abhinav is now turning to Reliance for financing the project.
