Bollywood’s top 6 most romantic songs of 2012

Ishq Wala Love – Student of the Year

Ishq Wala Love is a soft ballad sung effortlessly by Neeti Mohan, Shekhar Ravijiani and Salim Merchant. The beats are light and the mush-factor is high. Anvita Dutt Guptan strikes gold in the lyrics department where she describes beautifully the feeling of being in love.

Raabta – Agent Vinod

Rabtaa (all versions), one of my personal favorites. This song simply takes you to another world. The music is an intoxicating breeze from start to finish. A lovable melody that is quintessentially romantic in mood. Music by Pritam gets the right ‘sur’ and ‘taal’, in turn enticing his listeners.

Pani Da Rang – Vicky Donor

“Paani da rang” is a fresh and soothing, mushy romantic ballad, sung by Ayushmann himself. It’s a perfect blend of folk and pop tunes. A very appealing lyrics and well-orchestrated composition that exudes every expression with ease.

Saiyaara – Ek Tha Tiger

“Saiyaara” is romantic ballad, which has very poetic lyrics by Kausar Munir. Mohit Chauhan along with Tarannum Malik, impresses with their melodious voices, doing full justice to slow paced number. Further, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s beautiful chemistry makes the entire song waorth watching a million times.

Piya O Re Piya – Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya

Shreya Ghoshal refreshes the memories of “Saibo” (Shor In the City) and Atif Aslam almost does a “Pehli Nazar” (Race) with just the perfect lyrics by Priya Panchal. A very an adorable duet. It’s a gem of a musical outing which will compel listener to plug ‘repeat’ button again and again.

Hosanna – Ek Deewana Tha

The infectious music by A R Rehaman just lifts you off your feet and makes you want to fall in love (again and again). Leon D’Souza minty breezy youthful tones are soulful bliss that concocts adorably with Suzanne D’Mello’s subtly toned humming. Javed Akhtar’s easy-on-ears lyrics justifies the feel of “Hosanna”.
