Darr – Tu Mere Saamne Main Tere Saamne
A Bollywood romantic psychological thriller film directed by Yash Chopra, the song “Tu Mere Samne” is one of the best Udit-Lata duets of early 90′s. It features Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla grooving to its tune at various places in cluding the very famous Swiss Alps. Another power packed tune with excellent singing from its counterparts. Udit reaches the audience and Lata supports well.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge – Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main
The very popular number is sung Asha Bhosle and Abhijeet Bhattacharya. The music was composed by Jatin Lalit, with lyrics by Anand Bakshi. The soundtrack became the best selling Bollywood soundtrack of the year.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge – Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam
“Tuje Dekha To Ye Jaane Sanam” is wonderfully sung by the eighteen-year-old -sounding Lata Mangeshkar and the very talented and the then numero uno Kumar Sanu.
Mohabbatein – Humko Humise Chura Lo
Beautifully sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Udit Narayan, the song features Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. Udit Narayan sings the song with outstanding command, while Lata Mangeshkar sounds like a nightingale. The lyrics are excellent.
Veer-Zaara – Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hain Kahan
“Yeh Hum Aa Gaye” is another romantic duet, featuring Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta. It is one of the best songs in the album, sung by Udit Narayan and Lata Mangeshkar. The music has been arranged beautifully to combine a classical feel with a more contemporary sound.
Yash Chopra’s upcoming film Jab Tak Hai Jaan, featuring Shahrukh Khan, yet again, was supposed to have a romantic number shot in the Swiss Alps, with Katring Kaif donning a white chiffon sari. However, now that the legend is no more with the JTHJ team, the song has been dropped out.
