“In Aankhon Ki Masti”
This classy, melodious and catchy soundtrack was composed by Khayyam and the lyrics were penned by Shahryar. Asha Bhosle dominates the track with a solo rendition, thus leaving a lasting impression. An addictive deepness is present in her voice. The gorgeous Rekha did full justice to the mujra number with her oh-so-delicate moves.
“Main Vari Vari”
The soothing “Main Vari Vari”, beautifully sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy and Reena Bhardwaj is from the film ‘Mangal Pandey – The Rising’. Only AR Rahman could have done complete justice to the divine vocals of both the singers. The mujra number went on to grow on its listeners at a slow pace, eventually becoming a HIT. Lyrics by Javed Akhtar made the song even more beautiful. Needless to say, Rani Mukherji did a fabulous job with her graceful moves choreographed by Saroj Khan.
Sung by Bhansali’s favorite singer Kavita Subramarian along with KK, Maar Daala reminds you of of the days of tabla and ghungroo, making it a perfect number to listen. Ismail Darbar uses a nice combination of Indian instruments to lend a classical touch to the song. Dancing diva Madhuri Dixit delivered a beautiful dance performance, choreographed by Saroj Khan, yet again.
“Dil Mera Muft Ka”
Kareena Kapoor serenade you with her katil aadayein in the mujra song Dil Mera Mufta Ka. Pritam adds his style of techno-vibes with a strong blend and flavor of folksy vocal flair, also making is sound like a qawwalli. Singer Nandini Srikar did a commendable job. The lyrics are penned by Neelesh Misra and Bebo’s steps were choreographed by Saroj Khan.
A feisty mujra track Jhalla Wallah sung by Shreya Ghoshal in a very playful and mischievous tone, makes this song a hit. Taken from the film Ishaqzaade, the bubbly Pareneethi Chopra adds to the song’s cuteness. It is quite a funny number and the catchy beats further make it a foot-tapping track.
