Box Office Collection: Heroine

The Kareena Kapoor starer Heroine was panned by the critics, but opened to full houses just because of Kareena’s performance. Apparently, it would’ve collected a lot more revenue if director Madhur Bhandarkar would have added a little more originality and not make the same stereotype films.

According to box office collections, Heroine got an opening of about Rs 7.20 crores. It made Rs 8.60 On Saturday, and that proves Bebo’s performance at the BO. The movie made about Rs 2.50 cr at the overseas box office, and that was a disaster. The domestic box office collections of Heroine now stand at approximately Rs 15.8 cr. Heroine’s worldwide box office total would be Rs 18.3 cr. According to trade pundits, the movie would’ve collected more money if it had better release dates.

Heroine is expected to loose it’s steam soon at the box office due to the fantastic reviews for Barfi!. Made on a budget of 25 crore, Heroine is expected to make some profits at the end of the day.

Aishwarya would have given a better performance. Good for the director who chose an arrogant, stupid actress.

Heroine is not a bad movie at all !! There is a lot of truth in the depiction of the industry. The movie does not deserve the tremendous negative publicity it has received.
