Black: The film revolves around a blind and deaf girl (Rani Mukherji), and her relationship with her elderly alcoholic teacher Debraj Sahai (Amitabh Bachchan) who himself develops Alzheimer’s disease. He takes it up as a challenge to bring back Michelle into the light.Debraj finally succumbs to his illness and dies. Black stands out among the Hindi movies. Both Rani Mukherji and Amitabh Bachchan did a brilliant job. The film won 59 awards in total.

Taare Zameen Par: The film showcases the life and imagination of eight-year-old Ishaan (Darsheel Safary) who is dyslexic. He has a very poor academic record but excels in the field of arts. His lazy, easy going and troublesome nature makes his parents pack him off to a boarding school. He is later discovered by his new art teacher (Aamir Khan), who identifies Ishaan’s problem and patiently and compassionately helps Ishaan overcome his disability. Aamir Khan did an amazing job as a director and an actor. Darsheel Safary was mind blowing. The film won 34 awards including 3 National awards.
