It is evident that Katrina Kaif’s lucky charm has rubbed upon Yash Raj Films as well. Yash Raj’s biggest grossers till date have been Dhoom 2 and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, surprisingly Yash Raj have never had a film which has crossed the 100 crore mark. But now with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ on it’s way to become the highest grosser, There’s no looking back for YRF.
“Really, I didn’t even know that Yash Raj didn’t have a 100 crore film in their kitty. As I said, things like these may matter to those who have put in their money but for me what is most heartening is that Ek Tha Tiger is doing so well till date,” said Katrina.
Their next two films, the Untitled Yash Raj flick and Dhoom3 starring Sharukh and Aamir respectively, certainly looks like those films will also cross the 100 crore mark making it a hat-trick for Katrina as she is a part of both the films.
Now that Ek Tha Tiger has turned out to be yet another huge success for her, it is also continuing a winning streak that Katrina has maintained over the years. One wonders whether she ever gets surprised any more when her films score well commercially.
She replies honestly, “See, the nerves are always there. The tension doesn’t go away anywhere. At the end of the day every film has a different story to tell and takes its own journey. You never know where a film of yours would be eventually headed for. It is not like a building architecture where based on a blue print you know in advance how it would look like. There are so many personal tastes involved that no formula can guarantee you a success.”
