Vidya Balan’s talent seems to have gone beyond the big screen. Reportedly, Ms Balan’s costume designer Subarna Ray Chaudhari is down with malaria and is hospitalized and so replacing her, Vidya Balan has taken charge to style herself in the film. However, the designer’s assistant helps Balan with the dresses and accessories.

Manish Hariprasad, creative director, studios, Disney-UTV, confirmed the news saying, “Subarna was supposed to be on the sets for the entire shoot. But she fell really ill, so Vidya is now managing her own costumes.”

Vidya plays the character of a Punjabi housewife. She will be seen sporting trendy harem pants and tees.

Directed by Rajkumar Gupta of No One Killed Jessica (2011) fame, Ghanchakkar is a comic thriller.
