Shahid Kapoor forced to leave Maneesh Sharma’s untitled!

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who was all excited about his upcoming movie with Yash Raj Films, is no more a part of the project. Reason: The films shooting which was supposed to begin in September, has now been postponed to October.

Initially, the film was to go on floors in February, but since the films director Maneesh Sharma suffered a slipped disc, the shoot was pushed back to September. And now, from September to October. Shahid has no dates in hand as he has already committed his time in October to Rajkumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikla Hero with Ileana D’Cruz.

It is heard that, for Maneesh Sharma’s untitled, which was scheduled to go on floors in Sept, Shahid had to let go of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, which is now Imran Khan’s kitty.

Says director Maneesh Sharma said in a statement, “It is sad that Shahid Kapoor understandably had to opt out of the film because of the delay…given his packed schedule.”

However, YRF has promised work with Shahid Kapoor on another project, later next year.
