The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has asked Bollywood actor Aamir Khan to apologize for having sent a “wrong message” about the medical community in his TV show, “Satyamev Jayate”.
However, Javed Akhtar, Bollywood’s famous lyricist doesn’t want aamir to apolozise, terming the decision “sick”.
Akhtar posted on micro-blogging site Twitter, “The Indian Medical association wants Aamir to apologise for exposing corruption in their profession. That is really sick,”
In the fourth episode of “Satyamev Jayate”, Aamir Khan threw spotlight on healthcare and all the malpractices happening in the medical profession.
This topic did not go down well with the medicos and a body of 21 medical institutions asked the actor to apologise.
“It is not Aamir Khan but some immoral dishonest greedy and corrupt doctors who are insulting the medical profession and many honest doctors,” wrote Akthar.

Aamir Khan doesn’t need to apologize!! They are the ones who should apologize!! He is not doing this show for money. It is for awareness. He is doing india a favor with this show. This is to better their country for the people.

I haven’t seen the show but hey, any perpetrator, no matter what the alleged accusation / crime is, should def be exposed (and of course punished) – sooooo def no apology needed. Well done Aamir!
