Correcto both of you. Freida Pinto is not even that famous in the United States. I don’t know why the desi media tries to make it seem like she is. She is not that pretty or even talented. No one I know even has heard of this woman.She really needs to go away now. Freida also likes to bash bollywood and cry wolf about not getting work due to her “dark” skin lol. Well look at the wrok she is getting, 5 min role in crap movies like Immortals where all she does is flash her non-existent boobs. Like someone above wrote she can’t compete with stars like portman ,who are oscar winners and will continue to get proper roles. See, even in hollywood they prefer the whites.

Completely agree that she has no special talent. You are also right that these actors only get side roles of ethnic characters in non-mainstream hollywood movies. To be very honest, none of the Indian actors have been given major roles in any hollywood movies — they are always marginalized. We should stop paying attention to these small time roles.

She is has zero talent. Her new movie Trishna flopped big time. Her 15 minites ar up. She will end up doing 15 min roles in staright-to-dvd movies or just come back to india doing manjo juice commericals.

Frieda Pinto is one very lucky person — actors far more beautiful and far more talented do not get the lucky break to make it big. Freida without any of that has become a name by sheer accident.
