Salman and Katrina – The Irish Spree

Salman and Katrina – The Irish Spree

Before you jump to any conclusions and start wondering if Salman and Katrina are back together again, let me tell you there relationship as such is over. They are of course back together on-screen for Yash Raj Films’ next with Salman, which is as you all know, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. The shooting for Ek Tha Tiger has kicked off in Ireland and Salman and Katrina are taking part in the shoot as thorough professionals.

Our Sallu Bhai though is still battling with a little pain from his facial nerve surgery though. Yet he seems to be giving his best for the film’s shoot that is right now taking place in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

On sets, both Katrina and Salman are indeed sharing a cordial relationship without letting their break-up affect either the movie or their persona. In fact, they seem to be having quite a jolly good time on the sets. It should be fun to watch the duo on-screen, come June 2012.

Aamir’s Next – ‘Dhuan’?

Aamir’s Next – ‘Dhuan’?

It’s been nearly two years, and we have not seen our perfectionist star Aamir Khan on-screen after his outstanding performance as ‘Rancho’ in the critically and commercially super-duper successful 3 idiots. But, we do know Aamir is right now filming for a cop flick with Reema Katgi who previously made ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’ And if sources are to be believed, this cop flick, in which Aamir will be sporting a moustache as well, has been titled ‘Dhuan’.

Aamir is planning to soon launch the first look of the film, and following in his good friend’s Salman’s path, Aamir wants a digital poster to be launched for Dhuan just like Ek Tha Tiger. Aamir Khan was so impressed with the idea of a digital poster from Yash Raj Films that he has asked the creative team of Dhuan to come up with a digital poster for his film as well. Aamir would be discussing the look of the poster with his creative team soon.

‘Dhuan’ is slated for release in early 2012.

Ek Tha Tiger Rushes Housefull 2

Ek Tha Tiger Rushes Housefull 2

Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is supposed to release on the 1st of June, and so was Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 2. Yes, it was supposed to; but not anymore. In order to avoid clashing with the Superstar’s film, Sajid Nadiadwala has preponed the release of his film to April 5th, which is 8 weeks earlier to the previous release date. The producer, took an instantaneous decision on Tuesday and decided against clashing with our Sallu ‘Tiger’ Bhai.

This would mean that the shooting pace and the post production of the movie have to pick up rapid pace in order to meet the new release date. You might be wondering as to why prepone the release by 8 weeks and not 3 or 4 weeks. But there is another big release in May, which is Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’ and Sajid does not want his film to clash with that biggie either.

Well, who would want to clash with Salman, especially considering the form that he is in at the moment. Aye!

Aamir, Sharman, Raju Hirani = ‘Pee Kay’

Aamir, Sharman, Raju Hirani = ‘Pee Kay’

Raj Kumar Hirani after the astounding success of ’3 idiots’ has not made a movie still, which is actually quite surprising given what 3 idiots actually did at the B.O and at all award functions. But we know the perfectionist that Raju is, and he would not settle for anything less than perfect. Ditto is the case with Aamir, and these two perfectionists are once again going to join hands together for Vidhu Vinod Chopra Productions’ ‘Pee Kay’. Sharman Joshi is also going to get a major role in the movie alongside Aamir.

Although the film is going to hit the floors in mid 2012, while Aamir finishes his projects with Reema Katgi and Dhoom 3. Raju in the meantime is going to go ahead and wield the megaphone for the much anticipated 3rd film of the Munnabhai franchise – ‘Munna Bhai Chale Amerika’.

Going by the title, it wouldn’t be wrong to guess that ‘Pee’ and ‘Kay’ could be the names of the two male leads of the movie. What say you guys?

‘Rockstar’ Music Out Tomorrow

‘Rockstar’ Music Out Tomorrow

Rockstar – This has got to probably the most anticipated album of the year, given the fact that the ‘music maestro’ and double Oscar, double Grammy winner A.R. Rahman is doing a film belonging to the musical genre, probably the first one after Taal, which was also way back in 1999. The previews of the songs that have been aired are already rocking the charts, and it wouldn’t be superficial to claim that the ‘music genius’ has come up with 13 wonderful numbers for the Rockstar album, if not 14.

Yes, the track listing of Rockstar was out last week, and if anything to go by it, this album is going to be a musical treat for not only the Mozart of Madras’ fans but to all music lovers. No wonder, considering the importance of the script that Imtiaz Ali had prepared, he roped in ARR and not his usual composer Pritam for this film. Get ready guys, AR’s back with an album after an year and going by the promos, we are sure in for a chartbuster.

SRK vs Tom Cruise Yet Again

SRK vs Tom Cruise Yet Again

Wondering, how our ‘Baadshah’ Khan can compete against Tom Cruise? Well, spare a moment fellas! Agreed that Hollywood is a much bigger force to reckon with when compared to our Bollywood but, the popularity of our Shahrukh ‘King’ Khan is so immense that he can give Tom Cruise a run for his money.

Let us wind the clocks back four years. If you can remember, Shahrukh’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ and Tom Cruise’s ‘Lions for Lambs’ were out during the same week. Believe it or not, our Baadshah’s OSO made 19 million dollars worldwide in its first weekend while the Hollywood Super Star’s movie only made 10.3 million dollars. That was when SRK’s true potential as a global phenomenon was reckoned with by the World Media.

Guess what, come December, Shahrukh’s Don-2 is going head to head with Tom Cruise’s fourth outing as Ethan Hunt, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Given the fact that Don-2 is also seeing a 3-D release, it is sure to attract the audience’s eye worldwide. Reckon Tom Cruise should at least be prepared to take a dent in his film’s openings given our King Khan’s global popularity and following.

Bodyguard Breaks Dabanng’s Record

It just can’t get any better for our ‘Sallu Bhai’. Post Wanted, Salman has been on a never before career high delivering 4 successive, not just hits but blockbusters to date. While Wanted saw the return of Salman to form, Dabanng just established the massive image of this fearless star and Ready raked in the all the required moolah to make the producers of the film only ‘happy-happier and happiest’. While the exact figure is yet to be known, Bodyguard apparently has surpassed the 140 crore mark that was set by Dabanng last year thanks to the 9 crore collection in its third week. Katrina in Yet Another Yash Raj Flick

Katrina in Yet Another Yash Raj Flick

There’s no stopping Katrina Kaif nowadays. The London born ‘bony lass’ has been enjoying a rollicking Bollywood ride for the past four years now, and it looks like she is going to have it her way for some more years to come. She’s been bagging some juicy offers of late, and it seems like she is now Yash Raj Films’ most sought after lead lady.

Katrina’s first film under this prestigious production house was New York with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh which fared well at the B.O and then it was this year’s Mere Brother ki Dulhan which is having a rather good time as far as the collections have to go by. Then, there is Ek Tha Tiger in the making follwed by Yash Chopra’s directorial with Shahrukh Khan which is going to hit the floors sometime in 2012.

If all this was not enough, Katrina has now bagged a role in the upcoming sequel of the prestigious Dhoom franchise, and will be paired opposite Aamir Khan who is going to play the bad guy after John Abraham’s and Hrithik’s stint in the previous two films.

Looks like there’s no stopping Kats!
