Sonam responds to her critics…
Sonam Kapoor had a gala time at Cannes. Apart from grabbing the camera attention, Sonam also hogged on a lot of foodstuff. But one thing that really got the Kapoor daughter upset was her critics writing her off on her Cannes fashion.
On returning to India, Sonam vented her anger at the media saying that it is nothing but ‘crab mentality’. According to her, instead of criticizing her fashion sense, the critics should be proud about the fact that Bollywood is making a mark at the international level. Back in French Riviera, everybody admired her dresses so much s that she will soon be seen on the cover of an important women’s magazine.
The only strange thing that happened with Sonam while in Cannes was that she wasn’t able to watch a movie as she was just too busy making public appearances and giving the photogs all the looks.
Well, Sonam, we definitely loved your dresses at Cannes!

What’s impressing was that Sonam Kapoor, who recently recoverd from poor health, was the one who insisted on shooting the song in studio rain. Everyone on the sets, were pretty much concerned about the actress during the two days she shot for the rain sequence.
It is heard that through out the shooting, Shahid was very careing towards Sonam and made sure she did not catch a cold. She was provided with a protection of warm clothes and steaming hot beverages.
Thanks to Sonam’s professionalism, the shooting of the film is almost over.

The recent buzz had it that the Bollywood cutie was approached by a producer for a full on romantic love story, the Veer-Zaara types. He was offered an astronomical amount too. The script had him play the role of a lover in the first half and aging in the second…
If the source is to be believed, the actor was fuming with rage on reading the story and immediately asked the filmmaker to leave.
Salman takes center stage with “Ready Live Mad Concert”…
Salman Khan is all set to take center stage at the ‘Ready Live Mad Concert’ on June 2, in Mumbai, just a day prior to the film’s worldwide release.
Sallu really knows to promote his films like no one else.
The main idea of the concert is to ratchet up the hype to a fever pitch ensuring a huge box-office opening for the film.
Joining Salman Khan, the film’s lead actress and Asin, composer Pritam, singers Tulsi Kumar and Neeraj Sridhar will also be performing.
An initiative with 3rd Rock Entertainment, Provogue India and Agni Jewels along with T-Series, the concert is a 3-hour music show, which will kick start at 6 pm at the Tulip Star Hotel, Juhu.
In a statement to the press, Salman said:
“It feels great when you have mass adulation. That is what keeps us actors alive. On stage, you sense this love and affection instantaneously. As an entertainer, I thoroughly enjoy the experience and want everyone to enjoy the same as well. I am looking forward to the concert”.
Aishwarya Rai slashes her fee for ‘Heroine’…
2011 is yet to see a money minter. It’s almost half of the year now, and the Bollywood industry hasn’t been too fruitful so far.
Buzz has it that the makers of ‘Heroine’ have taken a conscious decision to stick to a budget of Rs 18 crore. The film’s lead star, Aishwarya Rai has reportedly agreed to take a pay cut for her role in the same. Instead, she will get a share in the film’s profit.
Say’s a source, “Every actor including Aishwarya Rai, Arjun Rampal and even Madhur Bhandarkar himself have slashed their fee,”
“It’s a sensible business decision. Ash and Arjun will be sharing the profits of the film. They are confident of Heroine’s prospects at the box office,” he added.
UTV, the makers of Heroine, have a good work relationship with Bhandarkar, and so we guess there is no apprehension in taking a pay cut for a share in the profits.
Heroine is slated to go on floors on June 8.

Kareena Kapoor makes it to the Madame Tussauds museum…
This time, it is Kareena Kapoor who will be waxed the prestigious Madame Tussauds museum. She is the second Bollywood actress after Aishwarya Rai to have a wax statue there.
The decision was taken after the management was inundated with mails and letters from her fans asking for her figure at the museum.
Kareena, who is shooting for Reema Kagti’s film in Puducherry, will be going to the UK to meet the officials of Tussauds, after which a decision will be taken about the wax figure’s look.
She will be the second Bollywood actress after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Tussauds.
