Salman always gets what he wants….
Salman insisted on adapting Ringa Ringa a hit Telugu song from Arya 2 and transformed it to Dhinka Chika for his upcoming movie. Not just that, he was unhappy with the lyrics of the Hindi film’s song and asked them to be changed.
A source revealed, “Salman always gets what he wants. He has a great rapport with the Ready producer Bhushan Kumar. He rang him up saying the song needs new lyrics. In fact he refused to shoot for the song until they came up with better lyrics. Since they were on an outdoor shoot in Bangkok, the crew went ahead and shot the song nonetheless.”
Salman sat with Devi Sri Prasad, the composer of the original Telugu track and came up with new lyrics. Buzz is that the actor bore the entire expenses of re-shooting the complete song with new lyrics.
“He wants Dhinka Chika to be the song of 2011. It already has the potential to be a huge chartbuster. Hence Salman got new lyrics penned and re-recorded the whole song,” the source added.

Reveals a source, “Duggu lives, eats, breathes and dreams (literally) of dance just a week before shootings begin! No matter how hectic his schedule or work commitments, he rehearses his steps with the concerned choreographer days in advance. He begins work on the Agneepath song this week and has been quietly rehearsing (despite shooting for the film all day and working out for an hour and half in the day and night) for the song for one week.”
The source adds, “Next he will have to shoot three music videos for the dance reality show Just Dance he’s judging. For each song, rehearsals begin a week earlier.”
Agneepath producer Karan Johar that Hrithik is “a relentless rehearsal man,” adding, “exhausting hours result in effortless moves – that’s Hrithik for you. He raises the bar of excellence and validates the input equals output theory!”
Says Hrithik, “Along with rehearsals, I actually learn dancing in my sleep. If I can clearly see every moment of the move in my head then my body is able to express it… The downside is that if I can’t see it – I can’t do it”
Dressing up Ash these days, is a bit of an added effort…
Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to attend the Cannes Film Festival, come May (11-22).
The light-eyed beauty is aware that her red carpet looks will draw a lot of attention, as usual. And if a source, who is part of a major design house’s team, is to be believed, then dressing up Ash these days is a bit of an added effort.
No, it’s not tantrums that the source was hinting at, but that the actor’s apparently fluctuating weight reduces her number of choices of red carpet outfits.
The source says that this was the case when Bachchan sprung a surprise by sashaying down the red carpet of the recent Academy Awards in LA, with hubby Abhishek.
“Aishwarya is a very beautiful woman and very classy at that. But we couldn’t dress her up for the Oscars because she had put on a little weight. And our new line was full of gowns in light shades, which would not suit her because of this reason. I think that’s why she finally chose a dark brown number and it worked well too,” says the source.
Well, that was a few months back and sources close to the actor say that she has shed a few extra kilos since then. To give Bachchan the benefit of doubt, she was on a holiday back then and it is only natural that one lets go of their strict schedules during such times. But here’s what desi designers, who have had their brush with the red carpet suggest Ash does to get it right this time…
JOKER spends 3 crores to create a forest
Shirish Kunder, director of Joker is having totally different plans for his upcoming film. Unlike many film makers who choose to shoot in real locations when it comes to shooting in forests, Shirish will build a set of a forest in Mumbai for his big budgeted 3D tale..
“If the film would have been shot in a real location, the cost may not have been so high. However Shirish wasn’t happy with a real forest since he wants to build a fantastical world for JOKER. Also, since the film is being made in 3D, there are lot of touch ups required for various shots in the film, something that would have been possible only if the forest was customized as per the scene’s requirement”, informs a member from the film’s technical crew.
It will cost almost 3 crores. The forest will resemble the kind of world which was seen in ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
When contacted, Shirish did confirm that the set is indeed going to cost him 3 crores. “It should all be worth it though. Reason being that we need a huge space to shoot some of the most critical scenes in the film. It wouldn’t have been possible had we shot in a real forest.”
Abhishek Bachchan, on his wedding anniversary
Abhishek Bachchan talks about how he feels about not spending his wedding anniversary with his beautiful wife Aishwarya. It was the couple’s fourth anniversary yesterday, and while work commitments kept Abhi busy in Hyderabad for the early part of the day, He flew back to Mumbai to celebrate the evening with wife Ash.
“Both Aishwarya and I understand the nature of our work. For both of us family does come first, but work commitments cannot be compromised either. Besides, every day with Aishwarya is special anyway.” He does admit that being under constant public scanner does come with its own pressures, but ‘nothing that we can’t handle’. “We may be actors, but we are like any other normal couple too. We never let the lines blur,” Abhi smiles.
Buzz that is doing the rounds is that, the couple buzz will take off on a romantic week-long holiday soon after Ash returns from Cannes next month. However, Abhi will not be by his lady love this time at the film fest as he will be shooting in Russia for Players.
If noticed, Ash also, has not been accompanying Abhi on any of his promotional activities. Reason: says a source, “It’s just that she feels that her presence will prove to be a distraction. She wants the entire focus to be on Abhishek’s film alone,”
Rajnikanth not happy with Deepika’s looks…
Deepika Padukone is beautiful, in fact, very beautiful. But South superstar Rajinikanth wants DP to look more beautiful in his film ‘Rana’.
Re arranged her dates for the movie, Deepika was supposed to start shooting with Rajnikant in Chennai. But the superstar wants Deepika to get a whole new look and so he has delayed the shoot for a week. It is heard that only once Rajni okays Deepika’s look, will the shoot commence.
Rajni plays a multi-generational triple role and Deepika is paired opposite him in his youth.
According to a source,“Deepika needs to look simple yet traditionally beautiful.
John Abraham-Deepika Padukone.. What’s brewing between them???
Just days after his split with Bong bombshell Bipasha Basu, the hunky man, John Abraham has found a new friend in the dimpled hottie, Deepika Padukone.
While we have seen snapshots of Bipasha Basu chilling out with her co-star, Josh Hartnett, John is enjoying the company of DP. The duo have been shooting in the relatively cool climes of London for first-timer Rohit Dhawan’s film Desi Boyz. Akshay Kumar will also join the two when he returns from Mumbai.
John and Deepika are shooting for a song at a place called Brighton Pier. Says a source, “John’s camaraderie with Deepika has been the talk of the industry. Both appeared extremely comfortable, in each other’s company in London.”
“One never expected John and Deepika to bond with each other and that too so soon. But it has happened,”

‘Ready’ to pick up ideas from ‘Dabangg’…
Salman Khan’s upcoming film Ready sees him acting in his typical Dabangg style and the filmmakers admit that they are trying to cash in on the superstar’s image of Chulbul Pandey which made fans go gaga over him.
“We are taking advantage of Dabangg behind Ready. We are not even trying to hide that and are in fact reflecting it in the promos as well,” Co-producer of Ready, Bhushan Kumar said.
Salman Khan too wanted the promos of Ready to convey the Dabangg image. The film has many similarities with Dabangg with respect to Salman’s body language, dialogues and his mannerisms.
It is also heard that the marketing and publicity formula of Ready is along the same lines as that of Dabangg.
Kumar also justified the focus on Salman Khan in the film’s promos. They have intentionally put the promos on Salman Khan’s shoulders. The film stars Salman Khan and Asin in the lead roles.
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, First Look…
Here is the first look of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan featuring Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar in the lead, was released on April 19 by Yash Raj Films.
The poster shows a colorful three wheel tempo, with Imran Khan at the driver seat, Katrina sitting in the rear wheel guard and Ali leaning against the tempo rear.
The poster undoubtedly promises full on comedy.
Written and directed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar, “Mere Brother ki Dulhan” is a topsy-turvy story set amongst upper middle class families in northern India. Imran Khan plays a character who falls in love with his brother’s (Ali Zafar) fiancée (Katrina Kaif). Filled with humor and romance, the flick promises to tickle your funny bones.
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan will release in theaters worldwide on 9th September 2011
