Dear Ashwariya Rai- I hope you read this and take it well and followup with the advice, it is for your benefit and other Indians and I have said this before, it will be a very wise choice if you take some classes on comunication. I am shocked that you thought of giving a Gaesha statue as a gift to Hugh, Ash Ash where do I begin, let me put it this way, when you come to the US and some one welcomes you and and gives you a statue of Jesus or Mary or even a bible or Quran, how un appropriate will that be. How embrassing of you to give that statue something that you believe in. Don’t you know the golden rule no politics no religion in public appearance or discusions. Now here are some of the gifts that would have been appropriate, a basket of spices or a book on India and history of India, or a traditional turban and a indian scarf for the wife, these are just some of the common sense gifts.
