Abhi-Ash is a Power Couple…
Bollywood’s golden couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been bestowed with the recognition of ‘Power Couple’ by the esteemed Stardust magazine. The mega stars got the title recently at the launch of the latest issue of Stardust in Delhi. Abhishek and Aishwarya graced the occasion as they lifted the veil off to reveal their own photos as the cover page.
You name it, and they have got it all. It’s no wonder that Abhi-Ash do deserve the ‘Power Couple’ title.
SRK gets chappals as a gift from Pakistan…
A Pakistani cousin of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan wants to gift the actor a pair of slippers.
Noor Jehan, who is the daughter of Shah Rukh’s paternal uncle, is eager to meet the star after a long gap of 13 years. If she indeed meets SRK, she’s got a special gift for him: a pair of chappals.
Why chappals, of all things in the world. Noor Jehan reveals it’s only on SRK’s request.
“During an earlier visit to Peshawar, Shah Rukh bought a pair of chappals that he used for about seven years,” Noor Jehan is quoted as saying. The longevity of the footwear apparently prompted SRK to ask Noor Jehan’s brother Mansoor to bring another pair. When Mansoor visited India in 2001, he brought three pairs for SRK.
Now, Noor Jehan too has brought chappals for SRK.
She’ll be in Delhi in the first week of Feb and then approach SRK.
Ranbir-Priyanka ignore each other backstage…
At a recent fashion show, the Anjaana Anjaani couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were the hot topic of conversation. Reason: the duo ignored each other to the core in the green room.
Says an eyewitness at the fashion show who was present backstage, “Before walking the ramp, all the celebrities (Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty, Manish Malhotra, Sameera Reddy, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Tusshar Kapoor and Prateik) were together backstage and there was chatter and laughter all around. Except Ranbir and PC – they didn’t talk at all.”
The source adds that though Ranbir was friendly, he appeared very tense and preoccupied about something.
“Everyone was cheering each other. Priyanka, Karan, Manish and Ranbir stood near the monitor and watched others walk the ramp, but even then, there was not a word exchanged. They were both behaving as though the other was invisible. PC was seen chatting with her Don director Farhan and her Krrish hero Hrithik but pointedly kept a distance from RK. One was left wondering what has gone wrong between the two actors.”
Says an insider, “Ranbir and Priyanka had shared a special relationship during the shooting of their film, and that hadn’t gone down well with Katrina Kaif and Shahid Kapoor (their respective partners) so they are now giving each other the cold shoulder.”
‘Shahrukh used to call me sir, sir during his struggling days’: Salman Khan
Salman debuted in “Maine Pyaar Kiya” in the year 1988 and Shah Rukh made his debut with “Deewana” in 1992. Ever since then they called each other ‘brothers’.
And after more than a decade Salman states “SRK and I can never be friends”. To this King Khan added “Salman and I don’t talk, which is absolutely right”.
The two worked together in films like “Karan Arjun”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega”, and “Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam”.
It was in 2008 that the two had a fight on Katrina’s birthday bash. In an interview Salman stated “Shah Rukh was like my brother. He used to call me sir, sir during his struggling days.”
“I have seen SRK go from door to door asking for work. He has become a different person now.”
He added “Only God can come and make us friends again, and that is not happening.” In Karan’s chat show “Koffee With Karan”, King Khan stated “If Salman is angry with me, it is 100% my fault.”
To this Salman replied that King Khan’s apology was for TRPs. Numerous online communities are appealing the two to mend ways and hope they come together in real life.

Income Tax raids on Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra houses
Income Tax officials raided the office and residence of Bollywood megastars Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra on Monday morning in connection with alleged tax evasion case. Also raided were the homes of their secretaries, their respective office premises and other locations. The raids started around 7.30 a.m and is still continuing.
During the raid, the I-T sleuths would ascertain whether the tax returns filed by the two actresses is in proportion to their income.
No comment has yet come from the two actresses regarding the raid which is likely to continue throughout the day.
Katrina and Priyanka are among the top earning actresses in Bollywood.
Bigg Boss forces Salman Khan to be punctual… Sallu signed a contract of punctuality..
He is late on the sets, events and even interviews. Be it the producers or the directors, reporters or may be event organizers, everyone waits for Salman Khan with great anticipation but Salman is not the one to reach an event on time. Just like his body and ‘dolle sholle’, Salman has maintained his record of always being late at events. But this attitude of his did not work while shooting for a TV reality show, ‘Bigg Boss’. It seems the late lateef Salman Khan had to sign a contract for the reality show, and according to sources, within the contract, there was a clause stating ‘Salman must report on the sets 12 hours early’. This clause is one of its kinds, and never did any Bollywood star sign a punctuality contract.
Well even Salman Khan is aware of the fact that most directors and producers have no other choice other than tolerate his tantrums. Now that Bigg Boss is over, we hope to see a change in his attitude.
