Actress Rani Mukherjee found her ghagra slipping down during a dance performance on stage for Big Star Entertainment Awards in Mumbai recently.
The actress took the stage in a black sequined dress and danced to the songs from her films, including a number from her upcoming film No One Killed Jessica.
But what troubled her constantly was her loose-fitting ghagra which kept sliding down during the performance. As a result of the broad girth of the ghagra, the actress had to rush backstage a number of times during her performance to adjust the costume.
After the performance, Rani gave her designer the rough edge of her tongue for giving her an ill-fitting ghagra, so much so that the designer was almost in tears, we hear.
Normally, Rani opts for dresses by her trusted designers, but this time she had roped in a newbie.

Fan abused by Sherlyn Chopra on Twitter…
Sherlyn Chopra has been getting very lewd tweets from a fan on her Twitter page. Finally, she gave him the rough edge of her tongue.
A guy named Gaurav has been sending sexually offensive tweets to Sherlyn lately. In one tweet he wrote: “Hey Sherlyn…did you split or you swallow?”
To which Sherlyn replied: “I save it up for as****es and mother f*****$ like you. Merry Christmas.”
But the guy still did not relent. He posted: “At least you admitted that you s**** d***$”.
Sherlyn has now ceased to reply to his tweets.

After celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary on December 20 at the O Resort and Spa at Candolim beach in Goa, Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan threw another party for their friends the next day at the Marbella Beach Resort on Morjim Beach.
The beach party, held at night, was attended by many Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal and Meher Jesia, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Mozez Singh, Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor and Kajal Anand, among others.
Hrithik and Sussanne cut an anniversary cake prepared specially for them by the resort’s chief chef.
The Roshans were in Goa for four days with their friends whom they had taken along to celebrate their anniversary.

Karisma Kapur has recently been in the news over her supposed divorce from hubby Sanjay Kapur. But Lolo has denied the rumour and is all set to show off her slim new look. After giving birth to a boy in March, she followed a rigorous exercise and diet regime to shed almost 23 kg.
In the accompanying interview she talks about her return to Bollywood, fitness, style and living between Mumbai and Delhi. Extracts…
Talking about her staying in Delhi, she says, “Honestly, that’s absolutely not true. I love Delhi. I think it’s a wonderful city. I’ve been in and out of Delhi for so long now and I’ve made two-three good friends too. And the food in Delhi ¦ You can’t beat the food there.”
On her marriage Karishma says, “I wouldn’t like to answer any personal questions. But it’s up and down [between Delhi and Mumbai]. Today, it’s fun to have a busy life in that sense, go up and down. The modern couple and modern life today are all about jetsetting.”
Her diet mantra, “I like to endorse healthy living. Don’t deny yourself. Eat and lose weight. Do everything in moderation in your life, and it’ll all work out. And frankly, that’s what I’ve done. I know yoga is amazing, but I just don’t have the patience. So I work out. I like to gym, I love to walk.”
On acting again: “Yes, I am looking at scripts, and thankfully I get a lot of offers, but I’ve not zeroed in on any movie. I’m just enjoying myself, just being a bit laidback.”
Imran Khan drives Katrina Kaif around India Gate
It was quite a sight to see Imran Khan at the wheel of an open jeep, driving Katrina Kaif around India Gate.
But they were not on a private excursion, rather shooting the Yashraj film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in the capital. Despite the chill, Katrina was clad in a short black dress. She stood up on her seat as Imran stepped up on the gas pedal.
The duo has been hasting to complete the film’s shoot before Imran’s wedding in January. However, unexpected rain and thick fog has only delayed the shoot.
That’s certainly not pleasing Katrina who had canceled her London trip to ring in 2011 with her family just to wrap up the shoot in time. But the weather gods had a different plan.
Saifeena to spend new year in a 300-year-old chalet….
Kareena Kapoor loves being eco-friendly. She left last night for Switzerland on a 10-day trip with beau Saif Ali Khan.
The couple will be staying at a chalet-hut owned by the Gstaad Palace which runs on solar energy.
Says a source, “Bebo and Saif believe in preserving the eco-system in their own way. Last year, she had promoted eco-friendly handbags. Every year, they re-cycle their fir trees during Christmas.
This year, Kareena and Saif will be staying for a few days at the Gstaad Palace in Switzerland and then shift to a wooden hut (the Walig Hut) built like a small 18th century chalet at 5000 feet above sea level.
The 300-year old hut has been carefully restored with basic plumbing and solar-powered electric lighting. Saif loves skiing, so every year the couple have been spending their New Year’s on the Swiss Alps.”
The chalet-hut is very expensive costing over £1,000 per night for two adults. This includes a sumptuous three-course meal with wine and champagne.
The hut’s back-to-nature experience is an attraction to people who normally live their lives in comfort.
The couple will initially spend a few days at the Tower Suite in the Gstaad Palace. “The Gstaad Palace offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Swiss Alps and is one of Saif’s favorite hotels.
A wide variety of activities such as golf, heli-skiing, hot-air-ballooning et al are available near the hotel.”
Before leaving for Switzerland, Kareena took an entire day off from work and spent it with her dad Randhir Kapoor. A source close to the actress says, “Kareena has been constantly shooting for her films and ads and hardly had any time to spend with her father. Incidentally, he too was holidaying in the USA. They met up for lunch yesterday and spent the whole day together catching up.”
Madhuri graces TV show with family…
Madhuri Dixit had her family as part of the audience on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa at Filmistan Studios yesterday. Hubby Dr Shriram Nene and her sons Arin and Ryan are in town to celebrate the New Year with the actress. Her parents Shankar and Snehlata Dixit were also present. The episode will be telecast on Monday.
Hrithik busy teaching kids snow boarding….
Hrithik Roshan is currently in Dubai, all set to celebrate the New Year with his family and close friends Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. Hrithik has been busy with for the past two days teaching his kids, Hrehaan and Hridaan, snow boarding at the Mall of the Emirates.
According to a source, “Hrehaan and Hridaan have been wanting to learn snow boarding for a long time. However, Hrithik has been busy with his films and has not had the time to teach them. So this time, when the entire Roshan clan decided to take a break and celebrate New Year’s Eve in Dubai, Hrithik decided to teach his kids some snow boarding.”
When contacted Hrithik said, “Yup. Starting them off on the challenges of life a little early. They need to fall a bit, get hurt a bit, that’s the only way to grow.”
