Anjaana Anjaani highlighting Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, has opened decently well at the box office. Three weeks after the release of Salman Khan’s Dabangg, movie buffs thronged the theaters to watch this major love story directed by Siddharth Anand.
Multiplexes in urban centers, like Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata saw 75 percent to 100 percent occupancy. However, the southern centers like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, saw less enthusiastic response because of Rajinikanth’s latest film Endhiran The Robot which is pulling most of the crowd down South.
The reports are mixed. While some felt it was a finely crafted romantic movie, others thrashed it as a senseless mushy drama. But it should emerge a winner on the strength of its superb opening and youth patronization.
The opening and noon shows were in the range of 80% to 90%. At some stations, they were 100% too. Anjaana Anjaani is reported to have grossed a very good 7.25 crore net on day one.
The Robot [Hindi version] has started slowly, its opening was 30%, but the reports are very good and the film is expected to grow in the days to come. The film has opened to an exceptional response in South. Anjaana Anjaani has some tough competition coming from the 60-year-old superstar Rajinikanth.

I am wondered about one thing. Why there is a clash whether north indian film best or south indian one is best? We are all indians. And we have to appreciate the efforts of any movie. Movie making is not an easy one.
Neither AA or Robot, both have some efforts in them. People who pass bad comments about Robot hurt who loves it and vice versa. Come one please stop this. All are indian movies only.
Ranbir , Pc are very young to Rajni and Ash . It is stupid to compare. Rajni has more than 35 of years of profile. So it is like comparing an young engineer to an President of a corporate. All have talents. It is sensible if we compare Amitabh with Rajni. Even Rajni accepted Amitabh is emperor.Amitabh is having more praise for Rajni. When they are that much humble why all are like this.
North guys, Robot is a very good movie. Rajni kanth is a great actor. Dont hurt south indians
South guys, AA is youthful one. Ranbir and Pc have good chemistry. Dont hurt north indians
Both movies are compltely differet story lines.

Hi Ash fans! What’s up with this “reporting” here? Any other site, all you hear about is the record-breaking success of this movie, and on Celebden it is “starting slowly”… hmmm… Neharika, you DO understand that this is a TAMIL movie, right? They have also released a dubbed Hindi version, but it IS the same movie. (Not like Raavan/Raavanan, shot in 2 languages, with different actors).
Anyways, back to what we REALLY care about, and the reason why we’re even talking about a Tamil movie here… Ash. She looked soo gorgeous in the movie! I mean, it was totally Rajnikant’s movie, and her only job in it was to show up and bring the glam… and boy did she ever! Wow! I’ve seen both Robot and Anjana anjani. I felt both the films are good . Anjana anjani is a love story and robot is a science fiction(not fully) It’s foolish to compare these two movies. People are comparing it bcoz its a race between Kollywood and Bollywoood.
Robot movie have some romance scenes and comedies But can’t be a fully science fiction story. It have some fight scenes with disguise and more graphics. My frnd said the film have many twists in the last 40 minutes and I was fully excited to see the film .
I saw the film. But there are no mind bending twists . But I’ve seen the movie with full care to catch the twists before in understoods . Butiam foolished with film having only little bit of usage of science fiction. So go and see the movie without any expectation you’ll like the film. although it can’t be compared with hollywood films its better in its way as an Indian film reached around the world. I think its an inception of Indian films to challenge the hollywood films.

Anjaana anjaani was fantastic loved every second of it never watch a movie like this in a long time .. Uhhh Good humour found in the story with a great eye opener and message to all those who think commiting suicide is an option…well my personal rating for this one is surely a 9 out of 10 priyanka rocks with ranbir she shocks:).yet my advice is rather watch this movie in the cinema..and as for robot Uhhh know words left worse movie ever don’t know wat they were thinki maybe they thought it would be as great as krrish but o well better luck next time.:-)

Anjana Anjani seems to be the same old boring youth drama, where you have one boy
and a girl meeting in some unusual circumstances, and then hating each other and then loving each other , and not to forget some stupid dialogues, pranks which they exchange.
All these things we must of seen 100 times in movies made in past 3-4 years [ Jaaney Tu ya .../ Bachana Ae Haseeno/ I Hate luv stories etc.], I don’t know what’s kept in such “Love-hate-love-hate” kind of movies.
Robot is another meaningless sci-fiction with all those heavy special effects and even more heavy make-up on Rajani.
Both the movies are just useless , anyways just for “Aishwarya Rai” I would like to watch Robot.
