Pakistan bans Indian film 'Tere Bin Laden'

terebinladen

Indian film Tere Bin Laden which is up for release this Friday has been banned in Pakistan because of references to Osama Bin Laden.

According to reports, the members of the Pakistani Censor Board saw the film and unanimously agreed that it was not suitable for viewing in Pakistan because it spoofs Osama Bin Laden.

The film tells the story of a journalist (Ali Zafar) who dreams for making America his home. But he fails to get a visa to the country. He hits upon a unique idea when he chances upon a lookalike (Pradhuman Singh) of Osama. Thereafter, he starts producing fake videos of Osama that make him famous overnight but also bring him to the notice of American intelligence agencies.

Earlier it was suggested that the film might release in Pakistan with the title ‘Tere Bin’ only, but now, Masood Elahi, the vice chairman of the Pakistani Censor Board has said that the movie won’t be exhibited in any theatres across Pakistan.

  2. agree with “truth” who ever wrote this is being baised!

The reason it is banned is cause it can/will cause the idiotic teroshit to go retarted!

and to me its makes sense they are stupid people looking for something to blame to kill peopl!

  3. This article fails to mention why they have banned it, its for security. Some idiots might want to blow themselves up.

  4. well, i kind of understand why they would ban the movie, cuz maybe if many people go and watch it in their cinemas, the taliban might just go and blow up the cinema….and many people would die as a result, so i guess it is sort of a good decision to some extent because their many extreme pple in pakistan, on the other hand pple dont have a freedom to watch the movie, so it sucks both ways
    anywayz ..bla..bla…blah XD:P

  5. haha and the world wonders if pakistan is pro or anti-terrorists like Osama – this is soo funny (and sad!)

  6. M a Pakistani, And i even planned on getting my tickets in advance booking for dis movie………… So wanna c it. The censor board took this decision just to evade da threats of terrorist attacks on cineplexes. More than 80 percent of the pakistani audience wants to see this flick………..The Pakistani audience (majority) has no problem with the movie, v guys were really looking forward to it

  7. SERIOUSLY! if ALI ZAFAR whos a pakistani dosen’t have any problem DOING the film why would pakistani audience have any problem! This is jus being stupid now!
