Shilpa: We don’t owe an explanation to Pakistani Cricketers

Team owners refrained from selecting Pakistani cricketers for the upcoming season of Indian Premiere League(IPL) while this was not taken well by the media of both the nations, Shilpa Shetty believes that the team owners don’t owe an explanation to Pakistani cricketers.
She says, “We don’t owe an explanation on our decision on Pakistani players. The reasons for dropping are understandable in the current scenario. We would like the media and the people to react to such situations more sensibly.”
“We wanted the players to be in the country and at that point of time we were more worried about security. We did not want to take onus for their security.”
Kings XI Punjab team owner Preity Zinta referring brouhaha about dropping Pakistani cricketers said, “They have just sensationalized the issue. We request the country to collectively handle the situation sensibly.”
