Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is a total paisa-vasool family entertainment, a eye-candy star cast, good performances and ample funny moments.

Honestly, I went to watch this film only to see Ranbir and Katrina. I thought they made a very cute teenage couple in the promos. The story, I must say, is not very impressive with some unnecessary and stupid (the Jesus scene in the end, the opening scenes), some slapstick (the fighting scenes with don’s men), some hilarious (Ranbir’s monologue with God at church, his scenes with his father) and some cute moments.

Ranbir plays Prem a school drop-out who keeps fooling around with his friends and members of his Happy Club and he falls in love with Jenny who is a Christian orphan. Ranbir takes the entire course of the film to profess his love to his lady who takes equal time to realize that true love lies in Ranbir.

Ranbir puts up a good show as a happy-go-lucky guy in love, Katrina has also improved and she does well in her role. There is also a Paresh Rawal-kinda-act with Sajid Don and Robert but it doesn’t really work. There are few bits inspired from Rajkumar Santoshi’s classic comedy Andaz Apna Apna but just not as hilarious.

The film is a joy ride with some potholes in the script, characterization, and story. Nonetheless, its an ideal family entertainer that most of the masses would enjoy!

    katrina and ranbir’s acting has really improved.

    APKGK was above average movie, the storyloine though not a necessary requirement in a Comedy flick, was too boring. It had repeatations. The incidents were predictable,and the pace was slow throughout. Certain selected scenes were hilarious but most gives us a feeling “kahi pehle bhi dekha hai”.

    Ranbir was the best and he is a future Bollywood Superstar. Katrina’s performance was no different from the past movies. The story at the ending is a copy of Namastey London and on a whole its very much fails to generate the Andaz Apna Apna Feeling….. On a whole Raj Kumar Santoshi tgis time has Dissapointed many audiences. I rate it 2.75/5.
