Kareena Kapoor has not gone topless for her upcoming movie Kurbaan’s poster, according to director Rensil she has just gone backless.

Director Rensil D’Silva says, “It is a scene from the film. I don’t think it is different from what you will see on Channel [V] or any music video. It is just a lady’s back and a guy’s bare body.

If you look at it closely, you’ll see that she’s backless, not topless. We have used high levels of prosthetics in this film to show intensity like gunshot wounds.

This picture has a lot of relevance to the film and that’s why we thought it was appropriate to make this the film’s poster.”

“My favourite scene is the poster scene. That depicts the whole film. That some love stories have blood on them gets evident from this poster.”

Kurbaan also starrs Saif Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi,Diya Mirza and Kirron Kher.

    I find it quite amusing when actors, directors, etc. claim that a scene or song or even this poster for that matter is relevant to the movie. It’s like the kissing scene in Acid Factory where the director (I think) claimed that it was more ‘fitting’ for Irfan to kiss Dia on the lips than on her cheek. Having watched the movie, I didn’t see the relevance of the (lip) kiss – a kiss on the cheek would have fitted in just as well. I can’t also see how this poster ‘depicts’ the whole movie – unless it’s steamy scenes that they’re trying to sell. Notwithstanding, I’m looking forward to the movie …

    If you look closely at Saif, it seems he has no pants on either. This whole movie is so disappointing. The story looks pretty good actually but the people who made it had to make the focus on Kareena and Saif making out or being naked. No one seems to care about focusing their ads on the actual story, just sex. If you have to make the focus on that, then maybe the story really does suck too.

    With all due respect I don’t agree with any of the above comments, well if they have a relationship in the film and they are in love , the director is bound to show the intensity, and the sexual chemistry, I think writing the movie off just cause some might think that the poster is provocative, to me it far fetched. If you listen to the song Rasia from the movie I thing ppl will get a better idea of the sexual side of the storyline.

    Also why is it a big issue if there are Kissing scenes , we never make it a big issue if its shown in a hollywood movie?

    wow maybe u guys should look at the other things on the poster as well. its just ur low mind that makes u think they r selling sex. no one notices the wound or anything else as they have said before that there are symbols that are meant for something. i think its just u stupid kids that get the wrong meaning out of everything. no one has seen the movie how can u say they r selling sex and that the poster doesnt depict the movie?

    If Hollywood shows kissing or steamy intimate scenes in their movies, is it necessary for Bollywood to imitate the same style also? Its the question of different lifestyles. Don’t know why Bollywood film-makers nowadays are so adamant to include kissing or intimate scenes, whether relevant or irrelevant, in each and every movie?! Want to copy the American lifestyle… As justification, people will say that times are changing etc.. Wonder whether these changes are for the good or for the worse?
