Ritesh says no to playing gay

Director Tarun Mansukhani apparently wants somebody to play a real gay in his Dostana sequel, unlike John and Abhishek who pretend to be gay.

A source says, “Riteish wasn’t keen on playing a gay character. It’s a risk for any mainstream Bollywood actor to take on such a role. He politely refused, but he was disappointed that his one of his best friends, who had many films on the floors, had offered him an insignificant role.”

However, Tarun till date has finalized only John-Abhi for the sequel, nobody else has been cast for other roles.

  1. Adm., you mentioned the word gay in your question, so why is the comment waiting moderation, or do you mean “murderation”.

  2. This guy has dignity and I am glad he will not be suckered into playing a “gay” role. Rarely do you find people like this, and I must admire him for his beliefs and morality. he does not owe anyone anything, just because he does not want to act as a gay.

  3. Don’t be so idiotic & narrow-minded..

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with gay people..

    Typical Indian mentality..

    Personally, I LOVE Riteish.. But..

I would have respected him so much more..

If he didn’t turn down a role purely based on..

The sexual orientation of the character..

But who knows?.. Could’ve been something else..

  4. Lol – maybe in the sequel either abhi or john will fall for the gay character! It wouldve been good to see riteish play that character since he is so good at comedy – i wonder who the part will go to in the end!!
