Rani Mukherjee at MAMI Opening Night
The 11th Mumbai Film Festival, organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) kick started today with a grand opening ceremony with the creme de la creme of Bollywood attending the event. The MAMI committee led by Chairman Shyam Benegal and trustees Yash Chopra, Amit Khanna, Shabana Azmi, Amol Palekar played host to the evening. Present were jury members and other guests. Rani Mukherjee looked resplendent in a gold and maroon Manish Malhotra saree. You like?

Well that’s what leggy lass Katrina Kaif says, when she is quizzed about talking to her special friend Salman Khan alleged enemy SRK.
Katrina says, “I fail to understand why people must constantly focus on just one aspect of an event,’’ says Kat. “I’m not complaining because I know that if you are in the eye of the media, it only means that you are important enough to them. However, my bumping into Shah Rukh or spending time with him at an event is just a regular thing. I think people should stop trying to look for controversy in every nook and cranny. All of us are here to work. And we have common functions to attend. Naturally, when we’re under the same roof, we will interact. Why make a fuss? Who wouldn’t want to associate with Shah Rukh or Karan Johar?’’
Now that’s some brutal honesty.

Mallika Sherawat’s lip job
Mallika Sherawat is the latest entrant into the lip-job club, the last one to get it was Kangana Ranaut.
A source says, “She was waiting for the shooting of Hissss to end. After that, she was to start shooting for her new Hollywood film. Mallika wants to look the part and that’s why she had her lips done, while she was in India. She was here for more than a month. In fact, she was supposed to leave more than two weeks ago but left for LA only last week.”
However her brother rubbished the rumors,”What rubbish! Mallika is the same as ever before. I would have definitely known had she done something.”
Mallika was unvailable for a comment.
Kareena wishes goodluck for Shahid
Most of our Bollywood actress keep mum about their current relationships, leave alone talking about their past, but Kareena Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty are exception, who talk about everything without blinking an eye.
When Kareena Kapoor was recently quizzed whether she is still in contact with ex beau Shahid, she said, “No, we are not in touch. Shahid and I shared a wonderful relationship in the past, the least we can do is wish each other well. At least I know I do that from my side.”
