After winning the esteemed Oscar,another feather has been added to A.R Rahman’s cap, he is now Dr.A.R Rahman.
Rahman was conferred with an honorary doctorate by famous Aligarh Muslim University.
Rahman created history by winning two Oscars in a row for his wonderful compostion in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.

Saif Ali Khan covers the cover of latest issue of StarDust magazine, making a claim – “Kareena And I Don’t Intend To stay Engaged Forever” and on the top there is a title which reads, “Shahrukh takes on Shoaib Akhtar’s Threats”. You like? BTW does anybody feel that Saif has got a nose job done?
Priyanka salutes Big B’s blogging spirit
Priyanka Chopra who is busy shooting in Bangkok is quite amused with the way Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan take time out for maintaining their blogs.
Priyanka says, “I’m designing my own website, and it is taking me so long. However I’m not into blogging simply because I don’t think I can do it. Between shootings and my family, I can’t dedicate much time to a blog. If I could, I would.”
Admiring Big B’s and Aamir’s multi-tasking spirit, she says, The day I become like them, I’ll give myself a pat on the back.â€

Shahid Kapoor is the new Raj of Yash Raj camp
While SRK has moved on from being the romantic Raj to more mature and satisfactory roles, Yash Raj Films have wasted no time in zeroing on their new Raj – chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor.
Shahid Kapoor is working back to back on two Yash Raj projects, Anurag Singh’s Hadippa opposite Rani Mukherjee and Parmeet Sethi’s untitled flick where he is paired opposite Anushka Sharma.
A source says, “The Yash Raj camp sees Shahid as the classic romantic hero who has the potential to turn on the sexy or rugged vibe when required.”

Aamir & SRK’s secret meetings
The producers-multiplex owners war has taken a bitter turn ‘coz Bollywood has not seen a big movie release in the last two months and this matter is being seriously followed and worked on upon by Bollywood’s big Khans SRK-Aamir.
The two Khans are said to be having secret meetings away from the media lights and flashbulbs.
A producer says, “The last time, the papers, the news channels and internet sites focussed only on the Aamir-SRK grand union, they completely ignored the cause.
The stars themselves realised this and made it a point to keep their second meeting a completely low-key affair. The multiplex strike still continues despite efforts from every big name in Bollywood to put an end to it. And, Aamir and SRK are very concerned.â€
Well lets hope their meetings transform into big releases the coming month.
Hrithik brands Bollywood as obsolete
Hrithik Roshan is flying high as he makes his international appearance with his next flick Kites with an international actress Barbara Mori and this has changed his views towards the industry that made him a star.
Hrithik talking about his Kites says, “Kites is an international film shot in the US, in English, with a Mexican actress. There is no Bollywood song-and-dance. There is dance, but it is realistic, not Bollywood style. In Bollywood, if an actor has to sing, there is playback, and there are dances out of nowhere — and that’s obsolete now. This is a film for a world platform.”
Mentioning the script of the movie, Hrithik says, , “I am very instinctive, and when I heard the script, I just jumped on the chair saying, this is what I’d like to do. Barbara was so refreshing, I watched her as a student. I’ve played a superhero before, but she embarrassed me.”
Well if you find running around the trees and the dance sequences in Bollywood obsolete, then please Hrithik keep your word and refrain from being a part of the so-called obsolete Bollywood cinema in future. Lets see if you stick to your words or not!
Vidya is a loser
Well she has not lost on some plum projects but she has apparently lost a whooping 10 kilos of weight and is looking ravishing.
She says, Mine has been more of a mental struggle with weight. Earlier, I was obsessed with losing weight and if the results didn’t show up within the time frame I had set, I would give up.The day I changed my attitude, exercise became less about weight loss and more about keeping fit.”
However she is not interested to be a part of the size-zero trend, “Being fit is good. I don’t like it when everyone starts looking alike. I think we should celebrate being different. One shouldn’t follow something because it suits someone else. I would want to be fit, but then I also want people to accept me the way I am. Look at Salma Hayek… she is not the thinnest, but she is among the hottest. Personally speaking, what appeals to me is the Indian figure. It’s fantastic to experiment, but you need to maintain your style,†she adds.
