Neil saves Mugdha from eve-teasers
Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse’s first day of shooting for Madhur Bhandarkar’s Jail was quite horrific ‘coz during an intimate scene between the actors a bunch of youngsters started teasing Mugdha resulting in the shoot being stalled.
A source says, “Mugdha and Neil were shooting an intimate scene while sitting in a stationary car. Since it was a long shot, Madhur and other unit members were standing quite far away from the car in which Neil and Mugdha were sitting. For the scene, Mugdha had put her head on Neil’s chest. When the youngsters saw this, they surrounded the car and started whistling and singing songs of Fashion. Mugdha was petrified.”
“Neil drove away when he saw the youngsters coming too close to the car.”
Madhur also confirms the news, “We had a tough time. It was quite unexpected. But everything is okay now. Hopefully, we’ll have a peaceful day tomorrow.”
Mugdha on her experience says, “I didn’t get scared. It was funny. In Fashion, I hadn’t shot on the roads of Mumbai. I didn’t know I’ll have such an experience on the first day of shooting for Jail. Anyway, all’s well that ends well.”
Well lets hope this experience teaches some strong lessons to the newbies.

Happy Birthday Aamir Khan
The Perfectionist Khan of Bollywood – Aamir Khan turns 44 tomorrow ( March 14th). Aamir has always been successful at whatever he tries his hand at.
When he first sang Ae Kya Bolti tu for Ghulam he was nominated in Filmfare best singer category, he tried his hand at direction and was again successful with Taare Zameen Par winning the best director Filmfare trophy, he turned producer with Lagaan which made its way to the Oscars.
Aamir started his career at a young age with flick Yaadon Ki Baarat and his career is still going strong even after 36 years.
We wish our favourite Khan a very happy birthday and loads of luck for the coming year.

It’s quite an honour to zoom to the Top 10 of the Filmfare power list and to be the only woman there?
It’s flattering. And it’s scary.Lots of responsibilities. My power comes from my honesty to myself and to my work. It’s amazing that I’m in the power list, although I’ve never given much thought to the process of getting there. I’m all heart, as you well know. Being true to myself is very important.

Yes, I know. Everyone has a chance to be in a certain position. I think Aishwarya has had a great innings. It’s a great honour to be where she is in the power list. Power equations in the entertainment industry change minute by minute. I’m definitely going to try my best to hold that position. It makes me feel very responsible. I want to keep doing the kind of work that will keep me in that list. Last year, I was in a successful film, Golmaal Returns, where I didn’t have a pivotal role. Strangely, audiences expect me to take centrestage all the time.
Do your prefer the saree to western attire?
I most definitely do. And now that I’ve put on a little bit of weight because of Rensil D’Silva and Raju Hirani’s films, the saree looks much nicer on me. As Indian movie stars, we should be proud of our national attire instead of being seen in western outfits even at Indian events. A woman looks far more sensuous in a saree than a gown.
So you prefer a saree to a gown?
Absolutely. If I have to wear a gown, it’d only be for an international awards function. I’d love to wear a saree even to international events. A saree expresses an Indian woman’s personality so beautifully. I think my new power statement is the saree. From now on, I want the saree to be synonymous with Kareena Kapoor. It will take a lot to put me in a gown.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has done a lot for the saree?
Why only the saree? She’s done a lot for India. And yes, she wears the saree as much as possible. She does complete justice to it.
How much of this power comes in a package with Saif Ali Khan?
We can’t deny that he’s also one of the hottest actors in the industry. I think we are a blend of looks and spirit. Saif and I are very alike. He also follows his heart and is very honest. Whether it’s his professional or personal life, he comes clean.
You’ll continue to be known as Kareena Kapoor after marriage?
I haven’t thought about it. Kareena Kapoor Khan sounds good. I leave the decision to Saif.
When you had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction at the Filmfare awards, some TV channels called it an attention-seeking gimmick…
Do I look like the kind of person who needs extra attention? Saif and I laughed over the incident. He says the journalists are only doing their job. I really can’t be bothered by people who’re trying to spoil my happiness. I’m having the time of my life with the best roles, best family and best boyfriend in the world.
You’ve finally moved into your new house?
Yes, but I spend most of my time in the studio. So I’ve no time to enjoy my new home. I’m living out of my makeup van. By the time I get home, I can’t keep my eyes open. I’ve had no time for myself, what with my best friend Amu (Amrita Arora) getting married and all. I have no breathing space.
Did Amrita’s marriage make you wistful for your own?
I’m with Saif constantly. For us, marriage is just a piece of paper.
We’ll have to make you marry him!

I know! I’m so excited. Vipul (Shah) thought only of him for the role (of a scientist in the upcoming time travel film Action Replay). As long as my dad enjoys himself shooting, I’m happy.

Bipasha Basu doesn’t mind ageing
While actresses worldwide are quite worried about the ageing process, our very own Bipasha Basu is least worried about ageing as she recently hit the 30 agemark.
Bipasha says, “I look my age, perfect. I had said that after I reach this age, I’ll start going backwards. Now that I am here, you can guess, what I will do. It’s time to go back now. Ha, ha, ha.” Regression, huh? “No, not now. From next year onwards, I will regress 100 per cent. By 2010 I’ll have a different age.”
