Happy Birthday Emraan Hashmi
Emraan Hashmi turned 3 decades older yesterday i.e he turned 30 on 23rd March. Emraan was formerly known as Farhan Hashmi but later changed his name back to his birth name Emran with an extra ‘a’.
Emraan made his debut with the flick Footpath in 2003, and then success came his way with his next flick Murder and then there was no looking back for this serial kisser, who is always associated with flims with great music.
We wish Emraan Hashmi a very happy birthday and a great year ahead.
Mugdha unhappy with Asin winning Filmfare
This year’s Best Filmfare debut award was recieved by Asin for her Bollywood debut in Ghajini, however Mugdha who was also vying for the same award for her debut in Fashion is upset with the decision of the jury.
She says, “Awards are just trophies and if all of them have gone to an actress who has done around 12-13 South Indian films already, what can you say? People have appreciated my performance in Fashion and their SMSes are my rewards.”
When Asin was quizzed about Mugdha’s displeasure, she said a diplomatic, “No Comments!”

Hrithik and SRK best of buddies
SRK’s latest friend from Bollywood is Hrithik Roshan, both of them apparently are bonding like a house on fire.
Hrithik and wifey Suzanne are always seen at SRK’s parties while SRK and Gauri make it a point to attend every bash thrown by Roshan junior and the bond is getting stronger day by day.
A source talking about a recent event says, “It was no occasion as such, just a casual affair. SRK was there for quite a while. Later in the night, the host and the guests decided to play dumb charades of Hollywood flicks.”
“The guests were divided into two teams of Hrithik and Shahrukh. Both sides did their bit of miming and SRK’s team was declared to be the winner.”
“B-Town is slowly getting a whiff of the SRK-Hrithik bonding. Both stars refrain from talking about each other. Hrithik is known for being extremely guarded while SRK has not yet given his reply to Aamir’s recent outbursts against him.”

Imran wants to be a woman in next janam
Imran Khan recently made his theater debut with a charity show of controversial play Vagina Monologues.
Imran says, “The script is something I could relate to.I truly believe that if men and women find that balance, we can break several barriers and live together peacefully and in harmony. And women are truly going places. Ninety per cent of the interviews I’ve given have been to female journalists.”
Imran is happy that all his friends are excited about his theater debut, “They are all coming to root for me. Not a single person was taken aback at my decision. I think that says a lot about people’s mindsets. It’s an ongoing experience of learning for me. And I think it would be interesting to be a woman in my next birth — I’ll get to wear better clothes. It’s the heels I’d avoid!”

SRK still optimistic about IPL
While BCCI is breaking its head on rescheduling IPL matches in foreign locations, IPL’s Kolkatta Knight Riders Team’s owner SRK is quite optimistic about every change that is being happened to IPL due to its clash with elections.
Referring to change in the venues for IPL, SRK says, “Of course, the buzz would be missing here but I guess the elections will take care of it.”
When quizzed weather his B-wood buddies and his kids would join him at his team’s matches, he says, “Yes, of course they will. Even I will try to be present at the maximum number of matches.As far as my kids are concerned, I will request Lalit Modi (Chairman of the IPL and vice-president of the Indian cricket board) to reschedule the matches at the weekend, so that my kids can attend it.”

Ameesha Patel not getting into politics
Buzz was that, Ameesha Patel was all set to become a politician after she granted a party ticket by NCP in Rajkot, however little miss Ameesha Patel has denied the rumors.
She says, “Numerous parties have approached me to contest the elections. And this is not the first time that such a thing has happened. But once and for all, I want to clarify that I’m not getting into politics right now. I don’t know who has been giving such confirmations, but the news is anything but true. I need to make my stand clear officially. Maybe, it’s my family’s association with politics that gets the rumour mills working overtime.”
However she does hint at politics as her future carees, she says,“Getting into politics will be a natural process. In future, maybe I will take up politics. But the time’s not ripe. Don’t you feel I’m too young to take a decision like that at this point of time?”
So who wants to see Ameesha as a politician?
Ismail Darbar in deep mess, girl attempts suicide
Those who regularly watched Sa re ga ma Pa Challenge 2007 show, might remember mentor/judge Ismail Durbar’s student Poonam Yadav, she recently tried to commit suicide and the reason behind it is her alleged affair with musician Ismail Darbar.
A friend of Poonam said, “Poonam’s mother said that she complained of a headache after which she consumed her mother’s blood pressure and asthma medicines by mistake. But the doctors said that Poonam consumed a large dose of sleeping pills, which was enough to put her life in danger. It’s not like she consumed one or two sleeping pills. It is a clear case of a suicide attempt.”
“Apparently, the reason behind Poonam’s suicide attempt is an abortion she had six months ago. We also heard that a few weeks ago, Poonam and Ismail were spotted together at some festival at Varanasi.”
“Last year, Poonam had told me that Ismail Darbar had got her a flat in Mumbai and that she is going to shift to Mumbai. She was quite optimistic as she thought she would make it big as a playback singer.She must have eventually realised that she was only being used.”
However when Ismail was quizzed about the same he denied knowing about Poonam’s suicide attempt, however later said, “I got a call from someone in Lucknow informing me about this an hour ago. I am not in touch with her since Diwali.”
When he was asked why he was not in contact with her, he says, “Woh bechari ne socha hoga kahan main sir ko baar baar pareshaan kyon karu. I even asked my wife about Poonam as she hadn’t called since a long time.”
Ask him if he was in relationship with her, he says, Ya Allah! No, I had no idea about any such thing. Aisa kuchh nahin tha. I have always guided her like a daughter.” “I have her number but I haven’t got in touch with her. I am busy with my mother’s last rites in Surat.”
” I am busy here in Surat. At the most I will call her up and ask her why she did this. I can’t ask her anything beyond this. And if anyone is trying to malign my name, I will not take it lying down.”
“I pray that her life is saved. Even we have problems but we don’t try to commit suicide. I was surprised to hear that a girl like her had resorted to such a drastic step.”
Ismail Darbar has given the music for hits like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas.
