Woody Allen – the famous Hollywood director has zeroed in on his next babe, who is our Slumdog babe Freida Pinto.
The news bit has been confirmed by Freida’s sister, Sharon, “Yes, Freida has been cast in a film to be directed by Woody Allen, but she is also very busy with her agent in Los Angeles to work out her acting agenda. Currently she is overstressed with all the interviews, the media barrage.”
Woody Allen’s previous flick Vicky Christina Barcelona fetched Penelope an Oscar for the best supporting actress this year.
So is Freida ready to do some Hollywood’s kinda romantic scenes which form a major part of Woody Allen’s every flick?

Kareena Kapoor’s Diet Secrets Revealed
Kareena Kapoor’s dietician Rujuta Diwekar has come out with a book called Don’t Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight and Kareena Kapoor wrote a foreword for the book in which she has herself revealed her breakfast secrets that lead to her size zero figure.
“Rujuta has changed my perception towards diets and dieting. She has taught me to eat well, eat right and eat regularly. I started working with her around the time I started work on Tashan. The results are for all to see. My size zero became a topic of national interest. The media asked me if it was diet or exercise. It was a combination of both; 70% diet and 30% exercise-training and yoga,” writes Kareena in her foreword.
“Rujuta understands my work and lifestyle and has given me a diet totally customised to my needs. My diet on work days is different from my diet on shoot days. It even on varies on shoot days, like it is different if I have to dance or perform. The meal is planned according to my level of activity.”
“In Mumbai, my breakfast is muesli and milk or a chillah or parathas; no chai or coffee. While shooting for Tashan in Ladakh. I ate fresh fruit for breakfast and thukpas and momos for my other meals. I had pudina tea without milk. On the last day, I was allowed pizza as well. In Kerala, I had idlis and appams. In Italy it was risotto and pasta with gorgonzola; half portions though, not full.”
“I make sure I eat every two hours. My evening snack or meal is soy milk or a sandwich. Rujuta focuses on nutrition, not calories. Amazingly, she likes to keep the nutritional value of what you eat, as compared to the calories consumed, high. I have learnt what she means when she says, “be smart about food” and still enjoy what you eat. Now thanks to this book, you can (learn) too and I am sure you will find it good enough to eat,” signs off the svelte and gorgeous superstar.

Anil Kapoor’s excitement has no end
We all witnessed Anil Kapoor’s excitement and enthusiasm at the Oscar Award Ceremony yesterday and now the talented actor gives an interview in an equally excited mood. Read below..
• Did you think that the film would win so many
We were not thinking about winning at all. I just went to the awards and was enjoying it moment to moment. However once the film got the Best Sound, Best Editing and Best Cinematography award, I knew we would win further. The best part was that the entire America was rooting for the film and it was like a world phenomenon. The film has won every heart and even in India the film has gone on to make Rs 30 crore, which is huge.
• It seemed that you would go and dance when Rahman won the award…
Yes, of course. As a matter of fact when he was on the stage, Danny’s son and I were singing Jai ho loudly. I really had to restrain myself from going and dancing on the floor. The whole atmosphere was as if we were in Mumbai and we had invited some foreigners as guests.
• You rubbed shoulders with many Hollywood celebrities on the red carpet…
Yes, I met everyone. I was quite excited to meet Will Smith as he had also come over to my house when he was in India. Then there was Goldie Hawn; he is very good friends with her and we spent quite some time together. Everyone was so excited when the film won the Best Picture. In fact even before the red carpet, just meeting Sean Penn, Ben Kingsley and Michael Rourke was great. The awards were very well organized and getting all these five great actors for the best actor award was done very well and in a dignified manner. It was a very classy event and I was really thrilled to be a part of it.
• Did you mange to meet Angelina Jolie again?
Yes, I met her and Brad Pitt again on the red carpet and had this long conversation with them. They recognised me from far and came up to me. I complimented them for a wonderful speech they had given recently. I loved the way David Fincher directed Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
• You also attended quite a few parties…
Oh yes! From the Academy Governor’s Ball, where we had dinner, we went to Fox Searchlight’s party and from there to the Vanity Fair party and then came back to Four Seasons where we had breakfast and then we went to The Today’s Show. The entire star cast of the film was featured on the show.
• What is the feedback you are getting from India?
Everyone is calling my wife Sunita and Sonam. Mrs Raj Kapoor called my wife and my mother’s friends are calling and my father’s friends are calling. It’s just too amazing.
• What did you tell Rahman?
I think Rahman was looking very cute with one trophy in one hand and the other in the other hand. We just had early morning breakfast together. I went up to him and hugged him. He was there with his wife and I have never seen him happier.
• So, a grand celebration in India after you return?
I think a very, very grand party is due. Javed saab is throwing a party for all of us.
Oscar winner Gulzar keen to work with Rahman again
Gulzar shares the joy of the Oscar for Original Song -Jai Ho with composer A.R Rahman and insists that he would love to continue his association with him.
Gulzar says, “It was good to work with him. He is a great composer and I would love to work with him again.”
Composer A.R Rahman along with lyricist Gulzar churned out a fantastic number Jai Ho for Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire which went onto pick the golden statue for the best song too.
Apart from Best Original Song Jai Ho also won in the category for Best Original Score too.
Kareena & Farhan together
The Rock On Guy and the Tashan babe are all set to scorch the big screen as they have been signed by Sudhir Mishra to play the leads in his next flick.
The film will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s company and deals with the political angle in the relationship between a man and a woman.
Farhan says, “I’m looking forward to working with Kareena. She’s been a friend for many years. This script gives both of us a chance to try something we haven’t done before. We are in the process of finalising the deal.”
Farhan thinks that the duo will look good on screen and reveals that Kareena has “a role to die for. It’s a hugely fascinating part. When Sudhir Mishra narrated the script I liked it immediately.”
Kareena previously worked with Sudhir in Chameli.
