Oscar winning music director A.R Rahman arrived with his Oscars late at night in India and was overwhelmed to see fans and friends waiting eagerly to catch his glimpse. Check out the photos.
Resul Pookutty and Irffaan given a grand reception
Sound engineer Resul Pookutty who won an Oscar at the 81st Annual Academy Awards was given a warm welcome by the people of his hometown Kerala.
An overwhelmed Resul said, “I never expected such a grand welcome. This award is a gift for every Indian. I am lucky to be appreciated for my work.”

Indian version of Razzies ready to rock
While Hollywood has it’s own set of worst awards known as Golden Raspberry or Razzies taking a cue India will soon be having a similar awards ceremony – Golden Kela Awards which will be held on March 7.
The awards are being launched by Random magazine, founder Jatin Varma says, “The Golden Kela Awards is the first of its kind to be held in India on the lines of the Razzies in America. It’ll be very funny and entertaining for the audience and we hope to make it an annual event just like the one in the West.”
The worst actor category awards nominates Salman Khan and Himesh Reshammiya amongst others, actresses like Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif find themselves in the worst actress category.
Varma says,”The Golden Kela Awards is the first of its kind to be held in India on the lines of the Razzies in America. It’ll be very funny and entertaining for the audience and we hope to make it an annual event just like the one in the West.”
The awards show which will be held on the same day as Filmfare awards will lack the celebrity touch.
Varma adds, “We have invited the celebrities but we haven’t heard from them yet. We might get overshadowed by the Filmfare Awards this time but we will still have a lot of humour quotient and stand-up comedians to spice up the ceremony.”
“Our celebrity quotient might be a bit less but hopefully we will have celebrities themselves attending the awards in the coming years to receive their trophies themselves just like in the West.”

AKshay invites Kylie Minogue on lunch
Australian popstar Kylie Minogue is in India to perform for a song in Akshay Kumar starrer and Anthony D’SOuza’s flick Blue.
As soon as Kylie’s feet touched the Indian ground, the talented singer was invited for a lunch at Akki’s home.
A source reveals, “Kylie and some of Akshay-Twinkle Khanna’s close friends from the industry plus the Blue crew are invited for lunch by the actor on Thursday afternoon. This is supposed to be his way of making her comfortable in Mumbai. If Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan went all out to make Barbara Mori comfortable in Mumbai why not Akshay and his wife?”
And to add to the affair the lunch was recorded live since the producers of the movie wanted it to be a public affair.
I am glad I wasn’t at the party eating under camera lights.
Imran-Ranbir takeover from SRK-Saif
Well we are always looking forward to a hilarious night at Filmfare awards with rocking Khan’s SRK and Saif entertaining us. SRK with his wit and Saif with his humour keep us laughing througout the awards night but this year the big guns have been replaced by youngistaan guys – Imraan Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
A source says, “Ranbir and Imran are good friends and have a great equation. They both are polar opposites, with Imran being shy and reserved, while Ranbir is a total brat. They have worked on a hilarious script and plan to have a ball at the awards.”
Whoa! Looking forward to this year’s Filmfare awards ‘coz the two guys are really cuuuteeeeeeeee!!

SRK feels good for A.R Rahman’s Oscar victory
Oscar winning composer A.R Rahman has made the whole India proud by bagging two Oscar’s in a row and our superstar King Khan who is currently recovering from a shoulder surgery is quite happy for Rahman’s twin success at the Oscars.
SRK believes that Rahman and sound engineer Resul Pookutty’s win at the Oscar’s has put India’s talent on the global map.
HE says, “At least we now have a great representation of our talents showcased in front of the world. It certainly gives us an advantage as far as collaborating with the western world is concerned. They will look for talent and technicians from our country.”
“The only thing left for us is to win an Oscar for a true blue Indian produced film. That would be great. A gateway has opened and we must make sure the best talent from our country is let through this to conquer the world with our cinema.”
