When Sachin came to see Aamir’s body
Rumors were rife recently that Sachin Tendulkar was so impressed by Aamir Khan’s new buffed up body that he turned up at the premiere just to check out Aamir’s body, however the perfectionist Khan denied the silly rumors.
He said, “No, no, he came to see the film. He wanted to see the film. It was a media thing that he wanted to see the body, that he asked if it is real, aisa kuch nahi hua tha.”
Aamir also revealed the idea behind his new body, “I have always been fond of sports, but training, hitting the gym is not something I have been fond of, and when I’ve done it, it hasn’t lasted more than a couple of months. But the director wanted a particular kind of look for the character, so I jumped into it. I’d no idea how far I’d go, I started from zero and went at it hammer and tongs. When I started, I hated it. But after a point, I began enjoying it… Ironically, just as I reached peak form and completed shooting, about seven months ago, I had to start undoing what I did, because for Raju Hirani’s film I have to have a very non-muscular look. So for the last seven months, I haven’t been training. That has been more traumatic than building it. I worked so hard to reach there and then I said to myself, oh God, I have to undo it all! But that’s my job as an actor…”
Well that’s Aamir for us – A true perfectionist.
Deepika doesn’t want to be compared
She says, “I’m different… Don’t compare me with Priyanka Chopra just because she’s done stunts in Drona and I’ve done action sequences in Chandni Chowk to China (CC2C). Each person is unique and so am I. I worked hard for six months to learn those stunts and was specially trained by experts from Hong Kong.I’m glad filmmakers recognise my talent… I will be playing a dual role once again in CC2C, after Om Shanti Om. I’m happy filmmakers find me capable of portraying different roles. It’s given me confidence and satisfaction.
Wearing those tight wigs for CC2C was painful… One of the two roles I play in the film is that of a Chinese girl. Which is why it was necessary for me to wear those tight wigs with a fringe. Even my eyes had to be stretched out for the role. It really hurt.
I feel fortunate to have worked with some of the top heroes… From Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar. And now I’m working with Saif for Imtiaz Ali’s next film, after which I will be working with Akshay once again. Akshay is a fantastic guy with many years of experience. I’m glad I’ve got to work with all of them so early in my career.”

I feel responsible for Anushka: Shahrukh Khan
Anushka Sharma made a dream debut opposite King Khan and has managed to impressed him as her co-star. Shahrukh Khan is mighty impressed with this young girl and this is what he had to say about her -
“Anushka in a certain way has helped me a lot with this film. I had to react to this girl who’s so fresh and different. So as an actor, I would say she has kept me on my toes and I think she has done a wonderful job.
I feel responsible for her career because she is starting off with me. I hope she does a fantastic job. She kept me on my toes, not just by virtue of being fresh and new, by being taller than me also.
I truly from the bottom of my heart pray for her and I hope this film does really good for her and she does some amazing amount of work, so we can feel proud that we started her career on celluloid,” said Shahrukh.
Perhaps that’s what makes SRK love his younger co-stars more!
In the best phase in my life: Kareena
Kareena Kapoor is flying high these days. She thinks she is in the best phase of her life both personally and professionally and she just feels lucky. Here are some excerpts from an interview of hers.
“It was an exciting phase in my life when so many things rushed down on me at the same time. The last year was a turning-point in my life. But the end result is happy. Both, professionally and emotionally, I think I’ve come out a winner. I’ve tried to be as dignified about my personal life as possible. As for my work, god has been kind.”
“There’s absolutely no room for such negativity in my life. I only have place for people who are positive and who make me happy by sharing in my happiness. This is the best phase in my life. And I feel I’m in a place where I’ve never been before. As an actress I feel everyone and that includes me, expects things from me that are not generally expected from Bollywood actresses except maybe Kajol. Or my sister Karisma.”
Talking about Saif, Kareena said,
“He’s extremely loving and supportive. He knows how long it’s taken me to get the work that I’m getting now. In fact, the best phase of my career started when Saif came into my life. Now he’s enjoying this phase in my life along with me. That makes this phase even more special. The only thing I miss is time with my family and Saif. When I finish this schedule I head straight to Venice for Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Kambakht Ishq”.
” We’re offered a lot of endorsements. But we are not doing any except a shampoo brand (Head & Shoulders). But we’ll soon be signing on for endorsements. And we’re doing another film for Asthvinayak. That starts in April 2009. We want it to be a fast and furious action film. Something larger-than-life. Saif is working very closely with the producers. He’s trying to lock in on the script and director.”

SRK plays an autistic in My Name is Khan
SRK is not resting on the laurels that his current flick Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has brought for him, instead he is back to work as he is all set to start filming for Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan from tomorrow and SRK will be seen suffering from autism in the movie.
SRK plays Rizvan Khan who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome which makes interaction and behavior strange and difficult.
SRK has to say bye bye to lean look as he needs to put on weight for his role, SRK says, “The role requires me to have a fuller look. I am reading, watching documentaries, meeting people who are affected by autism and doctors who deal with it. It’s very unnerving and I salute parents who bring up children with any disorders.”
Rizwan Khan is suspected to be terrorist because of two reasons in the movie – one he is a Muslim and the other his strange behavior due to autism.
Well looks like we would get to see another splendid performance from SRK after Chak De.
